Matt Hussey's Asian Salmon | Blackstone Griddles

- Whip up this tasty Asian Salmon from Matt Hussey in under 25 minutes! Perfectly marinated and topped with green onions and sesame seeds, it's a weeknight winner.

Ingredients
4 pieces of salmon
1 tablespoon avocado oil or olive oil
For the Marinade:
¼ cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine (or rice wine vinegar as a substitute)
2 teaspoons grated ginger
2 teaspoons minced garlic
For Garnish:
Green onion tops, sliced
Sesame seeds
Other Items Needed:
1 gallon-sized resealable bag
Directions
1. Mix the marinade by placing all marinade ingredients in a bowl and mixing well.
2. Add the salmon to a gallon-sized resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
3. Preheat a griddle on low heat while the salmon marinates.
4. Add oil to the preheated griddle and spread it evenly. Place the salmon flesh side down (presentation side) and cook for 3-5 minutes.
5. Flip the salmon and cook until done, approximately another 2-3 minutes depending on thickness.
6. Remove the salmon from the griddle and garnish with sliced green onion tops and sesame seeds, if desired.
7. Serve and enjoy!

Man, I'll tell you I used to like my salmon just like this. If I got some with skin, I'd peel it off. Somebody at work told me that the skin adds a nice light crispy texture. I left it on the next cook and never looked back. Try it! Skin side down first with a nice sear. The skin is loaded with nutrients! Your Asian sauce is on point! Lo e this!

I love the skin too brother! This was at my local supermarket and only had skin off. I enjoy that crispy skin! Really love it with some smoke too on the pellet grill! I'll check out Wild Alaskan Seafood too!
