Gtc4lusso owner here, I see peoples not seeing really weak parts in car, just Google PTU FERRARI, this is 4RM front gearbox which will get broked after 10-20k miles, and it costs 30k$, so funny because ferrari using this since 2011 and didn't even fixed weak parts. So this is just beautiful design with very big problems in future, I can not recommend to use this daily drive or do drift.
I hate Urus. Feels like it was made for rich kids with the aggressive Transformer look ready for an intergalactic battle. Purosangue is more suitable to matured, successful gentlemen who love speed
Regarding the "no sat nav" situation, I agree with Ferrari on that one: nothing they come out with will ever be as good as an up-to-date iOS or Android device. But really wish the map apps would pre-emptively cache the data on its own when it knows you're not local.
Google maps gives you the option to download a relatively large area to your phone ahead of time. It won't have live traffic data but does have all the other information. A nice feature when you know you will be out of service. It also saves data costs if your plan has limits on data,
@@willcolgan8798 The problem with the way Google Maps does it is while you do have the map data, you CANNOT reroute or get the route again if its lost while you are in an area without data. Brians got a bit of a belly on him and getting into something low and sporty isnt going to happen often what with his bad knee . However he wants to buy a new car and stick it on exes , better than giving it to the tax man aye , so something bloody expensive gives him a bit of kudos for his customers and shows off nicely when hes on the 19th hole . Problem is rob , who runs a metal forming place just off the A50 and daz ( fire cleaning company ) are all going to be shown the new wheels and give there thoughts on it . Brians going to have to explain those hydrofoils to create groundforce hidden in crevices and pin point handling while everyones going to think him a bit of a wanker given all he does it sit on the M6 at 50 for 90% of all his driving . ``whats the bottle and rag for ?`` ``no rear wiper to save weight `` `` so whats the bottle and rags weigh ? , it isnt half making a mess of your boot `` The twin screens would seriously piss me off . Id want something thats got 1200 pounds of torque , revs to 4K , has a deep rumble and takes almost no throttle response to put whatevers in front behind . Blarting up and down on the paddles works if its a golf R but on a sports ute ? . Id want an engine thats power absolute not absoulete power . To each there own . It would be a crappy world if we all liked the same thing . The world could be full of trabants ! .
Ferrari's initial claim against producing SUVs likely stemmed from their pride in maintaining the brand's exclusive image and heritage, which has been built around high-performance sports cars. Their focus on staying true to their roots might have been the driving force behind the statement, but market trends and consumer demand have influenced their eventual decision to develop an FUV. But when Ferrari eventually developed and released their FUV, it was met with acclaim due to its impressive design, performance, and features. Despite their initial hesitation to enter the SUV market, the company managed to create an exceptional vehicle that embodies the essence of the brand while catering to the growing demand for versatile luxury automobiles.
This guy is great. Best guy on TG after Chris by far. I can't even remember where he used to be, maybe Fifth Gear? Haven't seen him in years but he deserves to be on the front with CH.
What a video. The cinematography. Autotrader’s and Henry Catchpole’s videos on this are amazing as well. The combination between nature scene and the Ferrari. Damnnnnn
A Ferrari isn't meant to be practical. Someone who can afford a $400k vehicle can afford to supplement it with a $50k truck or SUV if they really need practicality. This is an unnecessary watering down of the Ferrari brand.
Mr. Ford, as always the very best motoring journalism. Spot on review. Crazy car, and even crazier money! Gulp! And 2 year waiting list? What?! Insane in every sense. Thank you. Excellent. ''realistic'' review.
Beautiful poster car design + Ferrari badge + 4 seats + 12 cylinders = perfected heaven on earth 😍. I'll live with the first-world problem of having to download my journey in Google maps before setting off to the mountains. So it's fair to say a reasonably optioned example would be around £350k, only £349,999.50 to go and I'm ordering mine 🤪 can't wait.
I was skeptical about it at first, but now i have to admit that this car delivers the emotions of a “normal” Ferrari and it’s an amazing achievement for a 2.2 tons vehicle. Talking about the price, yes it is high, very high, but let’s be honest, it’s a freaking v12 Ferrari suv , you need it and you know it
Long waiting ferrari by many people i think, the car is work of art and really detailed, however its still just art or gadgets, because they rapidly stop thinking about room in the back seat during project, especially for the legs. unfortunately it looks very unfinished for suvs, they could just move the wheels back and there would be more space and these automatic doors with a button look like they added them at the last minute, forgetting that they should start with...... the amount of space with such extravagance , a separate issue is too much weight of the car, they could have made a monocoque for such a price or used lighter materials and only at 1600 kg one could talk about a sporty jam of this car. above that, this car is still fast but too hard in the corners...., but they could put in a smaller and lighter V8 from 430??, it would still be the same power and lower fuel consumption. hmm ferrari did 3s 0-100 and this is great achievement but this car is still missing a lot things
@@EmoBirb doors sure. I could be wrong but to my eye the rear space looks pretty similar. I know adults could sit in the back of the Lusso comfortably. cargo area is less than 1 cuft larger.
@@EmoBirb no it doesn't have more space. It has unnecessary headroom not accompanied by leg room so you can fit taller people only if they sit completely up right and that's not happening on long journeys.
Finally a Ferrari that can be driven on many , many roads in the world. Beautiful effort 👌 ; wonderful performance. Good value for money so far as am concerned.
One way to get around the mapping issue in Andriod is Google Maps lets you download a map offline so you can still navigate the roadways if you lose service.
I get you Sir and I fully agree with the "Start Button" issue. It should be more mechanical. Haptic feedback "Start Button" is no different to having a performance car steered by a joystick instead of a steering wheel. Lacks involvement & emotion. With regards to the lack of rear wiper, both Purosangue & DBX have got it super wrong. Yes, it's nice & clean but the rear spoiler doesn't serve the rear wiper purpose. Atleast they should have their rear-view mirror be camera style just like in the new Defender. Great review, man.
Troll comment? We all know Enzo hated making road cars and just wanted to go racing. If he did like one of their road cars, he only liked the most hardcore cars they made.
You should follow up with your comment by checking the sales numbers in a couple of years. I think you may be surprised to see that Ferrari will have made a fortune on this model. 8/10 Porsches sold now are SUV bodied. I'm happy that my old friends in Maranello have done this.
Nice review, enjoyed the presentation. I started thinking, this voice sounds familiar... then realised it was Tom Ford, but less weight and a lot less hair than the last time I saw him!! The car? Absolutely absurd price.
If I wanted a car with those headlights, I would simply get the new Prius. Now that’s not knocking on the Ferrari, but it certainly is a hand to the Prius and it is at least mildly amusing they they’re comparably shaped.
@@changsangma1915 I was mostly poking fun, but I did see the new Prius long before the Purosangue had a proper reveal, though I may also be wrong about timing.

No but people will buy it in the thousands so its ok

I thought they were going to use the 3.9 litre V8. The fact that they jammed the V12 in there is just classic Ferrari. Fantastic.
There’s rumors of them using that engine for “lesser” models, kinda like what they did for the Lusso
I honestly was convinced at the start they put a turbo hybrid V6 from the 296, which also sounds great. I could not believe that what I was hearing was a magnificent v12 from the 812 and GT4 Lusso!
Only the first 1000 Purosangues got the V12, and they're already sold out. Every subsequent Purosangue will likely have a hybrid with more HP.
Ferrari was smart because they knew purists would hate a SUV/crossover Ferrari, but shove a V12 in there and people get starry-eyed.

The Purosangue is fantastic. Looks great, sounds great, has plenty of power and luxury + quite practical too. What's not love?
the way they obsess over not having regular buttons because they are too busy conditioning you to accept EV crap
Im not a fan of the looks .............
Its all the holes , the slashes of nothingness , the fussiness , concave and convex bits for no real reason ? even the headlights look like something citroen would knock out after an 80`s coke party . Im not feeling it at all . I dont think its ugly but holes ? . People are going to take the piss .
Its target market is a bloke called brian who owns a sofa factory .
``whats the bottle and rag for ?``
``no rear wiper to save weight ``
`` so whats the bottle and rags weigh ? , it isnt half making a mess of your boot ``
The twin screens would seriously piss me off . I do not need , want or desire anyone sat next to me feckin about with settings . That would drive 99.9% of people mad .
The seats look something special until i saw some sort of strap lashed down the middle right up your arse crack , not sure why its there ? perharps to remind you you took it up the gary by paying half a million for this ..... jury is out on these seats . Maybe in the flesh it works ? not sure .
The back seats ...... back ... seats .... in a ferrari ? are sporty which is odd for back seats . Clearly the same citroen fella who came up with the c3 plural thought he would have a go at knocking up a parcel shelf rear seat arrangement .
Engine ......... a screamer ? ..........
The world could be full of trabants ! .
It's truly hideous
Best 'pour some sangria' review out here on UA-cam. Thx.
Great review, I want it now even more than I did before. Great to see Tom on camera, more reviews from him please.
still a lot of ££ though!
This guy is great. Best guy on TG after Chris by far. I can't even remember where he used to be, maybe Fifth Gear? Haven't seen him in years but he deserves to be on the front with CH.
in luxury fashion.
After pretty much everyone.. they were all busy for this one, so I got the gig..
What a video. The cinematography. Autotrader’s and Henry Catchpole’s videos on this are amazing as well. The combination between nature scene and the Ferrari. Damnnnnn
I have always liked Tom's car reviews.
I was upset when they stopped the GTC4 Lusso. I see this as more of a successor to that and raised up a bit with 2 more doors. I love it!!!
That along with the FF were the pinnacle.
I'm blown away, not only by this car but by the host as well, good job
👍
Really enjoyed Tom’s review. The best presenter you’ve had on here in a very long time.
thanks man! thought I'd gone a bit too techy, possibly?
Damn that V12 pure eargasm ... I love it, really sounds great. I wish more car manufacturers could stick to the big old V8`s and V12`s but...
A Ferrari isn't meant to be practical. Someone who can afford a $400k vehicle can afford to supplement it with a $50k truck or SUV if they really need practicality. This is an unnecessary watering down of the Ferrari brand.
Top gear reviews always enlighten the day.
Mr. Ford, as always the very best motoring journalism. Spot on review. Crazy car, and even crazier money! Gulp! And 2 year waiting list? What?! Insane in every sense. Thank you. Excellent. ''realistic'' review.
I thought I was a bit boring - but it's a complex idea/car
Think Tom does a beautiful job of summing up the car and fantastic to see him on screen 👏👏
Thumbnail is just Breathtaking 🔥🤪💯
Missed watching Tom Ford!
they just created a monster. looks so stunning and gorgeous
I was skeptical about it at first, but now i have to admit that this car delivers the emotions of a “normal” Ferrari and it’s an amazing achievement for a 2.2 tons vehicle. Talking about the price, yes it is high, very high, but let’s be honest, it’s a freaking v12 Ferrari suv , you need it and you know it
@@PaoloB-i5u scusi ingegnere
It's won me over... but at the same time, I would've been totally fine with an updated GT4C Lusso (lights and whatnot).
The only thing more beautiful than this car is the landscape.
Excellent review top gear 🎉
This is easily the best SUV and most beautiful Ive ever seen.
That’s gonna sound real good with a proper exhaust
Already does with the stock actually, and the engine sound itself is amazing!
Novitec should make it much better
Wow top gear, thanks for giving us back to back 2 great reviews.
This is art, the car is something new in the market
Great review guys… I love this!!!
what rubbish. Terrible review. Boring as all hell.
I can't help myself.. That car is really beautiful looking, especially in this color!
Insane Ferrari guys ! What an absolute piece of art !! 💙💙
I can't even afford to buy a nut bolt of Ferrari, but absolutely loved this review.
Top Gear would be so brilliant with just Tom and Chris presenting. This review was literally all we need to see, entertaining and informative.
That guy is really really good at reviewing, absolute natural thoroughly enjoyed the whole video and of course the car is absolutely stunning
Seems fine, but it's hard to see what this does better than a GTC4 Lusso other than have a couple inches more ground clearance.
More space... easier access.... better comfort?
Bigger trunk, rear doors and more interior space by almost equal length.
@@ufukpolat3480 It has literally more interior volume compared to the GTC4 Lusso. It's also more cleverly packaged and not 50% hood.
Great to see Tom back in front of the camera. He's come a long way since towing a 747 with a Touareg for 5thGear.
crikey.. I had forgotten about that!
Tom Did Good In That Clip!! 😈
I absolutely love this car… even if Ferrari are late to the game it doesn’t mean they can’t be the game changers 😅
1:10 Hey my shoes 👞 aren't shoes.... they are walking utility tools cool huh 😑
Finally a Ferrari that can be driven on many , many roads in the world. Beautiful effort 👌 ; wonderful performance. Good value for money so far as am concerned.
It's a hatchback. A super hatch.....with a v12! 🤤
the 23 inch wheels make you think its an suv
Good seeing you Tom. Nominative determinism holds true. Cheers.
It’s absolutely stunning
Excellent piece of work and NA at that 👏
One way to get around the mapping issue in Andriod is Google Maps lets you download a map offline so you can still navigate the roadways if you lose service.
It actually looks great. Futuristic without unnecessary extravagance. I love the short overhangs which are not a usual Ferrari feature.
That blue is magnificent
they are going to sell a LOT of these.
Oh shit! Top Gear journalist is TOM FORD!! 😱
Sorry Ferrari but this one doesn't look good at all :S
They should just do a raised GTC4Lusso
I think this is the most Enzo Ferrari car Ferrari made in years. He would have loved it
Troll comment? We all know Enzo hated making road cars and just wanted to go racing. If he did like one of their road cars, he only liked the most hardcore cars they made.
@@darthvaper6745 yes he only cared about racing cars but when he was driving one of his cars he drove always GTs he didn't drive hardcore cars.
So a crossover. And we know how much those worked out
I think this will work out just fine
You should follow up with your comment by checking the sales numbers in a couple of years. I think you may be surprised to see that Ferrari will have made a fortune on this model. 8/10 Porsches sold now are SUV bodied. I'm happy that my old friends in Maranello have done this.
Given the first three years of production are sold out…I think it’s gonna do just fine😉
@@eastbaystreet1242 no thanks
Nice review, enjoyed the presentation. I started thinking, this voice sounds familiar... then realised it was Tom Ford, but less weight and a lot less hair than the last time I saw him!!
The car? Absolutely absurd price.
Really great presenter 👍👍 Enjoyed that
If I wanted a car with those headlights, I would simply get the new Prius. Now that’s not knocking on the Ferrari, but it certainly is a hand to the Prius and it is at least mildly amusing they they’re comparably shaped.
It's Ferrari's new Japanese-inspired aero and light package. Testing it for the upcoming Ferrari Katana
The new Prius came after the Purosangue if I'm not wrong. Plus the Purosangue took that design from one of its existing supercar model.
@@changsangma1915 I was mostly poking fun, but I did see the new Prius long before the Purosangue had a proper reveal, though I may also be wrong about timing.
@@HyperSarcasticAvocado Can't wait to see that unveiling at Suzuka this year.
It's a good time to be a mom.
SUV, FUV… whatever they call it, this thing is beautiful. Ferrari came in to shake up the market!
Beautiful… it looks like a shoe… a foot utility vehicle… could have went with pininfarina but I guess Ferrari decided to go with adidas instead.
@@LogicalQ ferrari ditched pininfarina long ago
is that Tom Ford? Jeezus - good to see you doing stuff with cars still
