Pet parrots were OFTEN the reason for jewelry repairs (which can be quite pricey). Once, a customer brought her little green parrot in for us to meet, since she seemed to come in once a month for repairs to her shiny accessories. I love parrots and they all seem to like me too. (The annoying, parrot-like voice of mine, maybe?). So I asked to hold him. Super cute, sweet bird, loved the head scratches & kisses (Couldn’t let him kiss my lips, tho). While talking with the parrot’s mum, I took my eyes off of him while he was sitting on my hand. He immediately picked up the “seed” he saw on the back of my hand, which was actually a brown mole that’s been there forever, but it’s gone now. I think he ate it. Ew! It bled like CRAZY! I was actually quite proud of myself that I didn’t freak out or fling my hand around because it DID hurt, a lot! But, I had to take full responsibility, I asked to hold the bird, knowing the risks. It was worth it! I love them all! Soooo smart! Thanks for great video!
