I take short cuts, doing things my way, been a driver for almost 4 years, won Driver of the Month 7 times aka Front Runner Top Driver, I drive the Ram 3500, made a little over $61,000 this year on a average of 110 hours every 2 weeks all year round not just prime week or holiday rush, yeah that's a lot of hours but it's hella expensive to live in Orange County, greetings from Santa Ana DLX8!
That route is easy bro I delivered in Maine, and almost every stop they have sketchy dirt roads, hills, and valleys. GPS always loses signal, and the rabbit doesn't always scan fast, not to mention that every freaking house has a dog that wants to chew your nuts off. It's crazy in the mountains, bro. This shit is cakewalk compared to the shit I go through, all love do your thing my guy
had my fair share of dogs trying to gnaw on my sac. Kicked one in the nose because it opened the gate and ran at me. I loved that route because it was so easy. Thanks for watching and stay safe out there.
my dsp averages around 160 stops a day. with prime week hitting we're averaging around 180-190 and that's with the CDV's. Peak at the station I work at is around 190-200 minimum
Yes, I have to turn it off. Dispatch gets notified when the phone leaves the vehicle while the engine is still turned on and if we do this too much then we could get fired.
@@henocasf are you still allowed to drive/ use the app/ work when it forces you? Exactly! I wouldn’t take a break either lol that’s too much time wasted when you can be done earlier

@@treysowavvy6495 Unrealistic? Maybe your DSP has that expectation or your brain has not figured out how to deliver. I have been with Amazon for two years bro. This shiznit is a cakewalk. You were saying?
I remember working for amazon dsp shit was awful they way overload your van then you have to work nearly 10 hours in a van you cant even move in, not to mention them giving you only 20 mins to load your van which is impossible especially under the blazing sun. Happy to say I quit after a month got a way easier and better paying job.
2:54 you shouldn’t block the customers driveway in case the van doesn’t start, also too close to that corner. Very difficult to see for people trying to get around you could have pulled up another 10 ft along the sidewalk.
Actually you’re supposed to block the driveway so that someone doesn’t back out and get hit by traffic coming around the van 😉 at least in my state that’s what we are TOLD to Do

Seat belt trick, parking on the wrong side of the street, taking lunch before your 1st stop... guys, this isn't a race. Learn to deliver properly and not desperately. You cats always looking for shortcuts but always the 1st ones to say they're quick. Anyone can be quick cutting corners.
@@TNCtheband Part of the job? Lol. I never remember my DSP saying it's ok to do that stuff. But then again, my DSP is number #1 at our station. I guess it's ok to settle for sup-par delivery methods. fedex ground here, never noticed how small your guys' stepvans are jeez lol
Best thing I ever did was drop to working 3 Amazon shifts a week and working part time UPS. Took 13 months but I drive for brown. Look into it man.
Have they gotten better about the restrictions while driving? I.E., speeding, breaking hard and all that?
No they have an ai camera that makes sure you drive like you're supposed to

stinkin up the company van smh

The fact that u still have to load and deliver ur own stepvan is insane.
It does kinda make sense because the driver can organize their van how they want to.
Some of those packages are hitting the ground pretty hard
you should see how they chuck them around in the warehouse
Especially at sortation centers where packages go through hell and back.
Yeah drivers are too lazy to put them down carefully
