And of course, not everyone is like this but I am instantly turned off by that, having the knowledge that it was green last night... I think I'll try to just mash the avocado and only add it to the salad when I'm about to eat it though, maybe that will work!

I have plenty of Tupperware. I have several sets of salt and pepper shakers. I love my rust colored ones from Tupperware. I remember when my grandma had rust colored everything in her house.
My grandmas special salad will probably always be my favorite. You build a romaine based salad with green onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, and olives if you like (I don’t). Top with fresh croutons and then a vinaigrette of ground mustard seed, fresh Parmesan, tons of garlic, fresh lemon juice, and a very light oil so it doesn’t add much flavor that takes away from it. It’s so good. Very light and weird like it has both tons of flavor and very little flavor. Hard to explain.
ah sounds delicious!! i eat a similar salad often but with a bit of feta cheese and i add a dash of white wine vinegar to the dressing to give it a kick and also some honey for a little sweetness also in the dressing

If you don't want a mushy watery salad after it's put in the fridge then remove the cucumbers center where the seeds are.
