I saw them at a show this weekend and fell in love with them. But is the wave still good without the shaper???

the wave is great with or without the shaper. When using the shaper its faster to switch sides because the ballast weight stays the same and doing it this way has you surfing with a little more weight which naturally will increase the size of the wave. Other than that, both ways can produce a really nice wave.

Can’t decide between the wt2dc or the wtsurf. Which would you recommend and why?

Same I like the wt-surf but like the seating on the wt-2 dc by the glovebox better feel like utilized better space don't like the gap in the wt-surf but I guess it is all preference

it helps level the boat when it gets up to speed, so your bow doesn't go way up in the air.

Man I wish they made regular speedboats that are not for towing with this kind of comfy interior layouts and equipment...

Hey there. Thanks for the video. How long does it take to fill the ballast?

really contemplating in getting one of these. WT 2dc or the surf model. how do they chop thru water during a busy day on the lake?

We run ours quite consistently out to lake powell, where the waters can get extremely rough. That being said, they do handle very very well in the rough water. No - They're not going to cruise like a 35'+ cruiser would, so don't expect that. But as far as a tow boat hull performs in rough water, I'd say these are among the best!
