James R. Nix has interviewed many grand children of Ellen White during his lifetime. He also had the privilege of interviewing many others who personally knew, worked with, lived with the White family. This video is an interesting collection of memories from those interviews.

I remember visiting Elmshaven in 1978 when I was a student at PUC, and living in Rosehaven (the house that Willie White built) just a stone's throw away, and talking a bit with Grace Jaques and touring the house. It was really awesome to visit Ellen White's writing room and think about angels meeting with her right there where I was standing.
Will there be more Heritage Tours? I went about 10 yrs. ago. Wonderful memories of the Communion Sabbath at the Miller Farm and Church.

Jim said "she was against competition." But SDA schools are all for competition, even in elementary school.
Today they have gone backwards since the early days. Very sad indeed, but not unexpected.
@onlytruth4me915 l knew that intercollegiate sports would have "crept in unawares" (Jude 4) by this time. And this expectantly calls for competition. Competitive youth say that it is a time for witnessing and opening prayer before each game at the Adventist universities. But satanic forces do have a slow and hardly perceptible way of sneaking into church doctrine/heritage. Before you know it, church members have "corrupted themselves more than their fathers" (Judges 2:19). This is largely due because far too many know little of the Bible (Hosea 4:6) or Adventist history.
When I was an Adventist, years ago, THEY WERE VERY MUCH AGAINST COMPETITION!! Very limited sports!
Great news to note about the Ellen White 6 volumes Biography by Arthur White. Please New Director of Ellen White, Estates help this volumes to be readily available. I got one from Amazon today though. God's blessings.

I have the 6 volume biography and have read them twice. In Volume 2 - 1872-1876 on page 207, A.L.White says in the middle of the page "taking on the appearance of a procession." A.L. White left out the word "Catholic." It was a "Catholic procession." Sister White wrote that in 1T 578. Yes, the Catholic church has taken over the SDA church. Please read Review and Herald October 8, 1901.

In listening to him, he is my age, 76, 77 in November. We both need to lose weight around the middle.
