i love your explores, you find the very best properties. & that you are meticulous & as thorough as you are is a blast. i'm 68 in america & used to go in any abandoned home i came across starting as a child, i am thrilled every time you put out another video. i'm going to london just before c'masd in 2024 & hoping to tour some of these historic homes in quaint historic villages, what a gas that will be. i can't wait. my greatgramps immigrated from england back in the late 1800's. so this is part of my heritage which is so cool. keep up the good work, i love it!

Wow the best guy on you tube is back, I think I speak for everyone by saying we really missed you, and what a fantastic video to come back with, the length of the video was amazing to & wish it could of been longer because like everyone else we love you Stare. What an amazing house, that beautiful furniture & those beautiful pictures on the wall, I love looking at the old photos from the 1800's & 1900's, there's just something magical about them. I hope all that stuff is saved & some relative comes forward, I think some of the stuff should be in a museum like the old telephone. Anyway Stare really great to see you again on here, please stay safe & a belated happy New year to you. Andy. 👍😊👍

Hi Andy, it good to be back with a new house to show you at last. Like you I also loved that old telephone, it was actually plugged into the phone socket so they were actually still using it :) I love these old houses with nothing modern in them, some people are happy using things they grew up with so didn’t see the need to buy more up to date things like microwaves etc. Anyway good to hear from you again my old friend, speak soon.

These people, though hoarders obviously loved their possessions and had a keen eye for quality.
I will never be able to understand how family can leave their predecessors lovely houses so neglected and not save all their beautiful items. Some of the desks and storage furniture in particular was lovely.

I found you an hr ago and just watched this amazing old home. I don't know how old they were in 1968 when they married to be gone now. We married in 1970 and are in our early 70s and we hike and cycle despite arthritis. So these ppl either didn't keep themselves fit after retirement or something killed them that they couldn't do anything about. So sad. We definitely think they're forefathers we're extremely wealthy. Some of that stuff looks like stately home stuff. The garden's look like they've never been tended in decades. Maybe it's in probate. So sad to see ppls' lifetime belongings just left to rot. A ceiling takes some time to drop like that. I love long videos and alas not many ppl make them.

I am originally from Windsor. I was born there...This simply breaks my heart that some family member hasn't come forward to claim these beautiful 'photos and china...How hard the owners of this house must have worked....Maybe they didn't have any children? I don't know...I would buy it in a minute.....I would treasure it just like the previous owners have done.....I would keep their 'photos dotted around the home and show such respect for them...They would be so pleased that I was taking care of it...The furniture is so beautiful......Thank you for showing us this beautiful home.........

They were serious collectors! That was a lifetime of carefully chosen pieces from antique shops and fairs up and down the country. I know this because I do the same and I recognise that they liked everything that was old. I could get a really good profile of this couple. They had flipping excellent taste in antiques. It was all valuable. Their house was spectacularly gorgious, will have to watch this excellent explore several times. It was fascinating and just up my street. It looks like someone started packing up and stopped. Maybe the property is in dispute with the relatives of the owners? Mary Dawson Elwell (1874-1952)
    Bradford Museums and Galleries
Painter, notably of interiors, also landscapes, born in Liverpool, daughter of a shipping merchant. She married Hull oil broker George Holmes who died in 1913, then the painter Fred Elwell, with whom she studied, in 1914. His portrait of his wife is held by the Borough Council in Beverley, Yorkshire, where they settled. Her money enabled the Elwells to travel extensively on the continent. She exhibited often at RA, also at SWA, RSA, Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and elsewhere, although a stroke in 1945 incapacitated her. There was a retrospective of the work of the two Elwells in 1953 at Beverley Art Gallery and Ferens Art Gallery, Hull.
