With the emissions game that’s going on around the world it’s good Toyota is offering a system that’s not complex and still saves about 10% fuel
Toyota is the only one I’d trust that’s for sure.
Ive got the 48v rouge and i can say it is standard. But you can turn the 48v/hybrid off and just use diesel power constant.
Thought it increased power output and supposedly improve fuel economy a bit
Maybe this is good for the DPF? Less idle time clogging up the filter. Slightly longer warmup times on stop start driving.
Good or bad, only time will tell. Interested to see everyones long term fuel savings if we aren’t all turning it off.
Good point though. Egr is 100% open on idle so would make a difference for everyday driving.

Stuff like this is what is going to allow diesels to still be sold in Australia. All to do with emmisions
Saves about 10% fuel
Ronny fails to realise that there are other vehicles in this segmant besides toyotas. The dmax and others are so similar yet he is fixated on the insignificant differences between hilux to hilux and 79 to 79 he goes and puts out these video encyclopedias documenting his findings. How could you not look at it from make to make or value to value? What is Toyota doing that the others aren't for the increase in price?
That’s because people who are serious about off-road and know what they’re doing use Toyota. It’s not worth risking another brand.
I know a few people with a dmax and ford and they regret buying them after previously owning a Toyota.
The other take to this is Ronny likes talking about cars he is heavily experienced in and owns not cars he doesn't know very well and doesn't own
Isuzu is the only brand that comes close on reliability and capability. Most other brands are more than good enough for 95% of typical buyers.
But for serious work/extreme conditions Toyota is still better.
They are Karen's and have a small mind set it's not a ford but how long has toyota been at the top it's taken years for others to catch up but they have not past
@@denniselvy3528 what is so good about the hilux compared to the other 4 cylinder diesels? Have you pulled the motor apart in a hilux and dmax and rubbed the bearings across your cheek to see which feels smoother? They are all pretty much the same. All have 6 lug wheel mountings, the diffs and transmissions are pretty much the same and same size. The frames are pretty much the same the shock mounting points are pretty much or are the same. Yes if you take a landcruiser with the 4.2l td then that is not in the same league. What you're talking about are the older hiluxes. They were better up until the early 2000s then the other makes came and everything evened out or in some cases surpassed hilux in terms off build.
