Thanks for having me on Jon 🙏🏼 Three of the best burger spots in the city! Craving the BK Jani burger now. I can’t speak highly of Young. Real genuine guy!
Emily lives up to all the hype. One of my favorite meals when I was visiting New York. That emily pizza though was one of my favorite bites I had on that trip.
Another excellent review with the help of Luis today❤. Loved all of the options and I’m pleased you featured a range of prices for the style of burger. I really like the stories of the people who set up these places, they are true entrepreneurs in their field. ❤❤❤
I MAY be partial because of the name, but I loved the burger and fries at Pizza Loves Emily 😍 Pretzel bread is so underrated and adds so much, especially with a cheeseburger because it's like dipping a soft pretzel in cheese!!
Jon what can I say ! I enjoyed my vacation in NYC during the Memorial Day weekend. One of the burger places that I visited was Harlem Shake ! I'm sure that you've had it before right ?
Ha ha ha Luis couldn’t handle the heat. I thought he would have been able to. Lol. The Emmy burger looks so good especially with the pretzel buns. New Jersey. The burger from Jubilee is amazing i Had a few of those so worth it. Jon White Mana Diner is amazing. I use to go there all the time when i use to work in the clubs. It’s definitely worth it. Great video Jon. I’m going to be with Luis in a couple of days 😎
Wow what a unique blend of Burgers. I love your videos like this. I know your cohost this time is extremely knowledgeable but my goodness comes across a bit comatose. Thank goodness for your personality to hold it together
I live in south Brooklyn and if you’re ever around, ya gotta go to Pippin’s Pub in bay ridge. Great burgers, dining area in the summer is gorgeous with windows encompassing and light shines through.
Jon: "Good immigrant story. I always love to support that." YES! And that's one big reason why we just spent two weeks visiting NYC! We love it there! Great food, great museums, great shows, great ferry trips to see everything, great gardens/events inside Central Park, and on and on.
i bought the book and remade the burger. it was about 95% of it. they use the pretzel bun because it’s an incredibly wet burger. hands down the best burger in nyc in my book.
BK jani is literally two blocks from where I live. The Williamsburg location on grand Street I never ever thought about going to this place. Now I definitely will just thinking should I go to the Williamsburg one or the OG one in Bushwick?
Thanks for all the food videos Jon - you inspired us to grab a gyro in New York last week! (We got ours from Vegan on the Fly, one of the best things I've ever tasted!) Stayed Brooklyn but did most of our eating in Manhattan. Really liked our burgers at the new (ish!) Kernel (the robot one! So cool!)
Frankly the BOGO burger deal I got last month in NYC was pretty solid...at McDonald's. I live in Southern Calif, home of In-N-Out (best burgers in USA), so I didn't bother to seek out indie burgers in NY and all the halal nonsense. Micky D's daily mobile app deals are cheap, filling, fast and actually taste good when you travel on a budget.
I always feel like these lists don't pay attention to Southern Brooklyn. Please try Skinflints in Bay Ridge, the burgers are amazing. I always get the Blue Cheese Bacon burgers, and they serve it on a jumbo English Muffin.
Of the three places, I think Jubilee was the best. The burgers were really cheap. You cannot go wrong with a burger for $2.55. The second best place was BK Jani. I'm East Indian so putting mint sauce and raita yogurt sauce in right up my alley. $18 though is quite expensive for a burger. Emily was the most expensive. Is a $31 burger worth it. ? It has to be damn good for $31. I'm sorry I'm not from NYC - I'm not used to really high prices for food.
The 1st restaurant looks amazing, I like Pakistani food but he handle raw meat then handled the bread with the same gloves. At least that how it looks from the edit
Ok, don't get me wrong, that Emily burger looked amazing and surely is worth every penny - BUT $31 for a burger is just crazy to me. I don't think I could ever plop that much down for one burger, regardless of how good it is. The JK Bani (I think that's what the name was, sorry it's 1 am lol) burger looked great and was more reasonable for $18. But that last spot, that's the winner for me. I don't particularly like smash burgers compared to a "normal" burger per se, but the fact you can get 14 of those sliders for $30 and get more meat and way more food obviously than the singular $31 burger at Emily's just blows my mind. I know NY is expensive, but come on now lol
Looked great, only problem is - they were keeping raw lamb right next to tomatoes. That's always a no no in a restaurant. Now that drawer looked like it had at least some sort of separation between the cooling drawer itself, but there would still be a possibility of cross contamination probably.
Do you think one day you can do a vegetarian food tour? The best veggie burgers? The best plant based places. As a vegetarian I would greatly appreciate it. With that said you do a great job.
From a business perspective it’s tough to do the tour bc the video won’t get enough views to justify producing. But I am making a conscious effort to spotlight vegetarian and even vegan options lately!
I mean you know it's a no, but I've seen similar places offer beef bacon (which surprisingly works pretty well) and even lamb bacon (never had that one).
I really cannot watch your videos anymore due to the really loud "background"-music, i can hardly understand a word... i like the way you talk and give info... but i'm leaving, because i just cannot stand this "sauce" of music you put there... why do you do that and why so loud???
Cant help but notice the 1st guy wearing gloves the whole time and theyre still dirty after touching raw meat and handling the bun and building the burger 🤢 looks tasty apart from the potential food poisoning
Lol people always complain about people not using gloves but it's actually not recommended by inspectors because of what you said. Unless you are changing gloves after touching anything(which means changing gloves 3 or 4 times per dish) you're better off using hands and washing or wiping as you go.

Great content Jon!!! Keep it up my man.
This was so interesting, each place, each story & burger so completely different from the other. Very cool Jon.🍔 Have a great weekend.
I’ve been to this restaurant, such great food and great people!! The owner really cares for his customers
[adds to list for my next NYC trip]. These all looked incredible- gotta try those lamb chops.
So good!
that first resteraunt owner is the nicest guy ever. I have to visit his place in brooklyn
Ahh, man, Jon! This video just made me ABSOLUTELY STARVING! You’re killing the diet, man!
😬

Not sure if Jon has, but I have. Definitely a solid place and I hope you enloyed it!
@@BNiche I did enjoy it ! Next time I'm in town I will go back for sure !

Very delicious looking burgers! Can you do a video of burgers in staten island next?
VIsiting in August, will have to check out BK Jani since it's not far from my hotel.
Thanks so much for your video!
Proud Brooklyn resident
BK jani is literally two blocks from where I live. The Williamsburg location on grand Street I never ever thought about going to this place. Now I definitely will just thinking should I go to the Williamsburg one or the OG one in Bushwick?
Williamsburg
Been to 2 out of 3 of these places...sometime BK Jani! (I've walked past it so many times now 😆)
Tried Jubilee today. It’s absolutely worth the trip from queens.
I love that he knows the exact cook times at BK
Thanks for all the food videos Jon - you inspired us to grab a gyro in New York last week! (We got ours from Vegan on the Fly, one of the best things I've ever tasted!)
Stayed Brooklyn but did most of our eating in Manhattan. Really liked our burgers at the new (ish!) Kernel (the robot one! So cool!)
mint chutney is paired with everything bread in india. try the mumbai toastie if you get those in NYC
5 Napkin Burger in Manhattan may be worth checking out
You should try burgery in 149st jamaica ave. Queens
You have to go to Think Sweet Cafe in Brooklyn
Frankly the BOGO burger deal I got last month in NYC was pretty solid...at McDonald's.

imo I prefer a regular mild mayo based sauce burger with double cheddar, lettuce, tomato & raw red onions

White Manna love!
Didn’t know your from Jersey ima first responder in the Paterson area ❤️
Just my point of view, maybe u can do muslim friendly restaurants (halal) in nyc visits.
"Chief Grilling Officer" respect
No Red Hook Tavern?
Long enough to not need a gps. A true New Yorker.
Red Hook Tavern has the best burger in all NYC
damn i wanna try that Emmy burger
The 1st restaurant looks amazing, I like Pakistani food but he handle raw meat then handled the bread with the same gloves. At least that how it looks from the edit
Hey, if you ever need a Jersey (former) resident to go to White Mana, let me know. 😂
You got it Brent 😬
There’s a good burger place called Jackson’s hole
Nothing can beat a good burger 🍔
look soooo fireee!
Thanks

31.00 burger is a total rip off unless it's KOBE beef..which it's not.
That shot and quality of this video is pretty much the same as Ben. 👍
Thanks, James who has stepped in since last winter has really grown into the role.
Halal burger? You gotta try Cali Bun at 2314 36th Ave, Astoria, NY 11106
Good Lord. That Emily burger 🤤
No burger is gonna change my life....unless it comes with pie..a la mode.
Bk Jani rocks!! 🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰
Never had White Manna? Your burger card just been revoked.
They make one of the best burgers.
🤐
🍔👍🏼
First place, lamb chops look good
Looked great, only problem is - they were keeping raw lamb right next to tomatoes. That's always a no no in a restaurant. Now that drawer looked like it had at least some sort of separation between the cooling drawer itself, but there would still be a possibility of cross contamination probably.
Those lamb chops are cheap for new york
No vegan patty at Jani's - sad.
Best burger in NYC is shake shack Flatiron district...... them burgers kick ass !!!! Take some beating !!!
Ur always the best, ur guide seems boring as hell and not a foodie, he handles spice even worse than you 😂
Do you think one day you can do a vegetarian food tour? The best veggie burgers? The best plant based places. As a vegetarian I would greatly appreciate it. With that said you do a great job.
Not a vegetarian but I like this idea…. Maybe a small collab with a vegetarian.
Great idea, I am not a vegetarian, but I do love veggie burgers
Hell no!
He did go to a noodle place in Dumbo that had a lot of vegetarian options.
From a business perspective it’s tough to do the tour bc the video won’t get enough views to justify producing. But I am making a conscious effort to spotlight vegetarian and even vegan options lately!
All that salt on the Emmy burger is a no no.. asking for hypertension
let's be honest: nobody is eating healthy when eating a burger
@@clowchan true but they be adding fuel to the fire lol
If only lamb chops were as cheap as chicken wings...
So I would assume I couldn’t order a bacon burger at the Pakastani burger joint
I mean you know it's a no, but I've seen similar places offer beef bacon (which surprisingly works pretty well) and even lamb bacon (never had that one).
I am not ever going to spend $31 for a hamburger. I can make that just as well at home. It's not rocket science...
Can this Pakistani gentleman explain us since when there are Pakistani burgers? Is that an ancient national dish of Pakistan?
G🇵🇰🙏🇺🇸🌏😍
You should have @pictureperfectluis on a lot more often!

I'm not eating a $2 burger.
You should drop the "Before You Die" part unless you are recommending poisonous food. Lets not prey upon regular people for clicks.

Stop speaking like that. JFC
First one is immediate bullshit you aren't a New Yorker and don't know what we like. You're talking about lamb chops left and right.
Rude answer sorry
Lamb is big in Indian and Pakistani cuisine because they don’t eat pork. Some don’t eat beef. You don’t think Indians can be real New Yorkers?
Lamb is also huge in Greek cuisine. Some big Greek neighborhoods in NYC like Astoria.
Exactly
Can you delete your post ? It comes off as you posting from a mental institution
