2003 G35 Coupe, 6spd: This novice saved $560 from mechanic quote by purchasing "A-Premium Anti-Clip Function Window Regulator Motor for Nissan 350Z 2003-2009 Infiniti G35 2003-2007 Front Left Driver Side" for $39.98 on Amazon (delivered next day). My drivers side motor just quit on me, after I rolled it down. So I followed your steps but after removing the inner panel (interior)I banged on the place where the motor is mounted (inside metal panel) & ...it worked. Window went up & down, but if it's ALL the way down it wouldn't go up. So, I banged it again just to get it up in case of rain. I'm thinking the brushes may be bad, & a cleaning would work, but I'm going to replace the motor anyway since I see how to now! Thanks a lot, hope I don't have to use too many of your videos! 😎👍🏼
One of the most hated g35 replacements the window motor. Had to get mine replaced sucks if the window doesnt roll up and stays down then you have to replace it and get the window out of the way with out breaking it. Great video 👌
The window was stuck down and you do not have to get the window out of the way, at all. Yep, all window motors in every car, fail eventually.

Motordyne G35 yeah i saw you got it oreilys but i got mine from autzone and idk if they over chargered me since ive seen them on ebay for like 40 bucks
When you buy it from Oriley's you get a lifetime warranty, if it ever fails, they replace it for free. You can buy a $40 one off of eBay, with no warranty and cheap rebuild parts. I doubt it will last long and you have to buy another one when it fails. Cheap parts always cost more in the long run, always.

My window motor sometimes work, sometimes not. And it's very hard for motor to pull window up (needs physical help).
You need a new window motor, it is failing.
@@MotordyneG35 Replaced about a year ago with new motor (you were correct). Purchased on Amazon with almost full 5 star rating and still works perfectly.
P.S. Have compared removed glass with 2005 Passat vs G35 Coupe and the last one is around twice heavier.
Video help me out a lot with my window motor replacement. A few differences with my 2007 g35 coupe, you not only need to remove the 10mm bolts but the window frame bolts as well (4 of them). Also there is no window reset button. The window reset by shutting the door.
Still this video help me get it done.
Thanks man great video! Got it done in half an hour on my 06 coupe! Try not to do this job alone it’s hard to hold some things in place when you’re putting in bolts and stuff also hit amazon for a motor is you’re on a budget, got my drivers side for 50$ and it came in a day 😁
Also there was no reset button on my car it just automatically reset itself following these steps !

Johnny White did your eBay motor have a reset button?? Because my 35 bucks eBay motor doesn’t have one. It’s still working but idk if I should still reset it somehow
I changed the brushes in the motor and still working good as new years later.

ozelot250 happened to me! Alot of people said it was the stereo but my mechanic ran some tests on the electronics and i forgot what theysaid but it was a connector or port or something. It was like 15 bucks for the part
Same happened to me I just changed out the fuse and boom it worked
They all do it, pre 05.... after that its just the radio not the a/c.

Hi Motordyne G35, I probably watched this vid like 10 times and I bought the window motor from O’Reily’s and followed every step but when it came to testing out the window, it would get stuck in the down position. I know the electrical contact is there when you press the switch because I can hear it but for some reason the window gets stuck. Any suggestions? Props to all your vids man thanks!
Figured out it was the window regulator. I sprayed some lubricant on the cable coil and cleaned it up a bit and boom it’s good to go!

Where exactly is the window reset button? Cannot find it?
My driver side is starting to act "sluggish" intermittently. Sometimes it doesn't work, but comes back by rapping on the door card. There is a very dull friction stripe 2/3 toward the front of that window. Is this indicative of a bad motor or is it something else? Thanks for what you do. Keep this gen alive!
The dull friction strip is nothing. If the motor starts to act sluggish it is time. It will continue to work, quit, continue to work and then it will not work at all. It is most likely time for you to do the replacement. Thanks for the feedback on liking my channel and thank you for watching.

Hey can someone help me out. My driver window is stuck down , I’ve replaced the switch and the motor but still won’t work. When I click the switch up it makes a clicking noise and I can feel the motor trying to work but idk what else it could be

Hey dumb question.. I got the new motor re attached and everything buttoned up to test, works fine and rolls up.. go to do reset procedure and the reset button is no longer accessible.. question is will this go back together and work if the motor is the wrong way? It drops like it supposed and goes back up when I open and close the door which to me I think it doesn’t need the reset? But at the same time I couldn’t do the reset even if I wanted to, it took 2 ppl fighting to get those bottom two aligner bolts for the frame back on and idk if I should open it back up and double check or button it up the rest of the way and roll with it lol.. at this point I’m glad to have a window but don’t want to do more damage over possibly having the motor the wrong way

I heard there might be some wiring issues. May have to take it to the dealer and they'll check wire continuity
So my windows roll down about 4, 5 inches as I shut the door. Also when I use the quick auto roll up/down . I was told to hold down on the window up/down button for about 10 sec each way. Still does not work properly. Idk what to do . Any advice to fix or am I gonna need new motor?

Hey I've got a 2005 G35 Coupe. Going to replace the window motor. Can you give me step by step on the window reset procedure? I've seen several videos and seems no one does it one particular way.
The 3 Phillips screws that are holding the motor to the power widow assembly is basically impossible to remove because it has lock washers. So I’m unable to replace just the motor.
How did you take yours out??? The 3 phillip-head screws will just strip out on mine. I might have to buy the entire assembly now
I had this problem as well. So when I noticed that I was very close to stripping the first one I stopped and sprayer WD40 on them and waited a bit, then they all came off. The one that I slightly stripped, I used pliers to loosen it.
Quick question, is the driver side window motor on an 08 g37s sport coupe non-convertible 6mt the same as this car? My driver side window wont move at all.

nice great video bro this is so weird just right now at the afternoon i decided to take it to the Mechanic to fix my motor of the passenger window And Everything when good but my passenger door doesnt lock so it stays open and theh told imma have to go to a Yonke to get that part for cheap and installed cause its no after marker cable that will lock and unlock my door, what could other option i could do?

Save yourself the $130 and a trip to Autozone. The "bad" motor just needs to be cleaned out. Once thats done will work like new. I heard they even give you some money back if you bring back your "bad" motor. Makes sense , give a lifetime warranty. They will just clean your "bad" motor and give that back to you if you ever come back again, or just sell it.
That's not true. It needs to be rebuilt, not just cleaned. It is a brush type electric motor and the brushes need to be replaced after awhile. You can rebuild it yourself tho, but you gotta source the brushes.

Hey bud, replacing my window motor. So is it safe to keep the window down while doing this? I heard some say to keep it up clamped?
You have to clamp it to keep it up. Stuff falls and you don't want to crack the window. It will need to be up to get the motor on so clamp it ahead of time. No regrets.
People search UA-cam videos to observe step by step instruction as the work is being done, not the content creator saying what needs to be done, then editing the video to after the task is complete. Kinda defeats the purpose of a how-to video. Take this thumbs down for the half assed effort. 👎🏾
I did everything as of video up until 3:52 but then when I had it all done the window would go half way up and then wouldn’t go upanymore
Clean your brushes they might be dirty. Double check your connections or it my be a bad window power switch.

No reprograming the tune, its fine. Just plug and play, it's back to normal.

Hey Motordyne G35, thanks this helped me with my window. I have another issue on my 05 Coupe near this one maybe you know about??
- Door locks work but only about every 45 seconds or so, no matter if I use the remote or the lock / unlock button inside the car.
- First thought is it's the door lock actuators, BUT I don't think so cause they do work as long as I let them rest for about a minute in between uses. I can hear something that sounds like it's coming from the rear passenger area behind the interior panel like maybe a relay or something that feeds the locks that sounds weak?
- But I'd compare it to a camera flash or a capacitor that needs to charge for a minute in between uses and then it works but if it's used right away it's too soon.
Anyone have this issue? Any solutions? Does this even make sense lol?
Matt D ....Your door lock actuators are going out. My locks only work if you not touch them for 3 days or more, then they will work 1 time barely. I need to replace my door lock actuators. They are bad.
Thanks for the reply. It's so strange, when they do work, they are strong but just once. Thought you'd say it was a common and simple capacitor or a relay. guess that explains why I can't find much info on it.
Be thankful you do not own a BMW or Benz. Why? On my BMW E46 when the door lock actuators go out you can not open the door. If you look on all Benz's and BMW the door lock button sucks itself down in the door so when the motor fails you can longer manually use your finger to unlock the door. To make matters worse the keyhole was not designed to be used daily. This is what BMW told me when I called in complaining the keyhole now broke because when I insert the key it just spins freely.
I bought the kit to fix the keyhole on the BMW. It is unreal that I've been using my keyhole in my G35 for over 7 or 8 years and it works every time. The BMW, not longer than 3 months using the keyhole did it break.
Never been a fan of either for those kind of reasons thank God! This issue is troublesome enough when your lady has to deal with it everyday driving the car lol
Yep, and I convinced her to buy the BMW so I'm the one fixing it for basically nothing because if anything breaks, she says, "I told you." She was pissed having to climb in out of the passenger side with a dress on until the problem got fixed with the driver's door lock.
I'm still a fan and my next car will be a CLS63 AMG. I will still always keep the G.

So my dumbass decided to put a USA flag in my driver window and rolled it up so now my window goes up but wont do it automatic in one touch but it does do it when i roll it down what could it be? Please HELP!! Mines a g37 sedan btw

Will do. I bought this car off my brother, the original owner, with 117k miles. It's a 2005 sports coupe 5EAT in ivory white. It's my new daily and I really like it. I'm honestly trying to make repairs as cheap as possible for some things. Like the cam pos sensor for example, I bought it from O'reilys for 35 bucks and no issues for the last 4k miles. I enjoy working on it, and cars in general. My 2015 Mustang GT gets a break and stays in the garage
