- Seven months after an 8-year-old girl was kidnapped while walking with her mom in their Texas neighborhood, police released heart-stopping video of the moment officers busted into the suspect's hotel room and rescued her. Michael Webb, 51, kidnapped the 8-year-old girl on May 18 as she was walking with her mom in Fort Worth. As the distraught mom tried to fight him off, he was able to get the girl in his car and take off. She called 911 and police immediately went searching for the girl. #InsideEdition

Yeah, same. I saw a documentary about some special police kicking doors and going full send on some people but the second it was under control and they discovered a child one of them switched into daddy mode, put away the gun, took off his mask and was super sweet to her and she stopped being scared. That was really cute.
Just a rotten detail.. sometimes these monsters probably also use words like 'sweetheart' ...imagine everyone later who DOES really care about her and uses this word well intended.. can trigger emotions linked to all this.
This would probably happen more with victims that have been held captive for long period.. I just thought of this..

What this story doesn't tell you is that it wasn't the police that located the little girl. It was a couple, who lived in the area. Vigilantes that drove around to every possible place they could think of that was close, with nothing but the description of the vehicle that POS drove. They found the vehicle outside the motel and called the police. The police knocked on the door and talked to the kidnapper... and seeing nothing wrong, left. The 2nd wave of officers decided to go in force and saved her...
Wish they would have mentioned that. How amazing that couple!!

Exactly. Two different agencies with two different approaches and one successfully rescues this little girl. Not sure if it had anything to do with jurisdiction or not, but thank goodness Ft Worth was involved or this little girl may have not been recovered. From what I understand, the forest hills department actually searched his room earlier and did not find the girl. The police sergeant was fired as a result

Nope, the scariest part was that the forest hills pd found the suspect's vehicle and decided to do nothing so a police department outside their jurisdiction had to come in and do their job for them. So, from what I understand, forest hills is where the baby got kidnapped, the police from there did the investigation and found the hotel, but it was in Fort Worth’s jurisdiction, so after a quick check, they handed over the information to Fort Worth to continue the investigation as the cops still had to worry about their own set territory, thus Fort Worth checked the hotel and found the poor girl. Please let me know if I’m wrong, but I think this is what happened.

Yea, wtf was with the first? They found the car in the hotel parking lot, didn't find him in or next to the car, and that was the extent? No asking the staff? Is someone really going to park their car nicely in a private parking lot then abandon the vehicle? They didn't event try.
The first police just didn't care and nobody is asking what there problem is! They probably don't need to be police officers if that's how they do there job.
Forest Hills police came back 2 hours later with the Fortworth police to arrest the kidnapper and rescue the little girl
Poor little kid. They were 2 late. But they saved her life.

The time it took for the second group to show up could be extremely tragic for that girl. Did they not see crayons in the car, so they called it a day? I can’t imagine this being an excusable error in judgement.
No he won't because he will be protected and segregated away from the general population. It costs us even more money to keep these Sicko's safe. After all we have to protect his rights.
