When brought up after he’s retired I think he’ll be recognized or acknowledged by peers, fans, cinefiles, movie critics & casual movie goers as one of the greatest actors to ever do it. Cillian has shown time and time again that he is a high caliber performer on screen. And he has a chameleon type range, leading or supporting in my opinion
Cillian has been one of thee most extraordinary actor's since he was very young. There hasn't been a role he was in that wasn't brilliant. (๑ơ ₃ ơ)♥ And don't get me started on those eyes!
His legacy is he took on some amazingly beautiful and challenging roles and he's deeply respected by his peers and moviegoers. He's been in some great underrated and under-seen films (Sunshine, Wind That Shakes The Barley, Disco Pigs, Breakfast On Pluto) and obviously the Nolan roles all very moving and took him to the next level. His new project holds so much emotional and cultural weight (especially in Ireland) and having been a fan since 2005 I can't wait to see Small Things Like These and his new projects.
What a fantastic and humble answer to a question he sees as for other people but not himself. Am loving watching and listening to these great cameo's from the full interview. One day I will watch it all in one piece and wonder at the interviewing of Pelley and the responses of Murphy. Thank you 60 Minutes!
Firstly, Cillian, I am a fan of yours ever since I started loving films at a very young age. I have watched every single movie you are in, and you always inspire me. You gave me a dream of acting, and now I am trying my best to be an amazing actor like you are someday, even if it seems impossible. You are a great man, you are humble, always caring to your loved ones, and your dedication cannot be compared to any other actor in this planet. As a superfan who grew up watching your movies, your acting, almost my entire life, it was just a dream come true. I know you are tired of fame, you know the paparazzi and all are very stressful, and for me too, seeing you having more and more fans makes me sad for some reason, maybe because you are not a unknown, new actor that only I love anymore. I respect your very private life, not involving yourself on social media is a wise choice. Cillian, your movies, your acting was the things that got me through tough times when I couldn't rely on anyone else. When I was lonely and sad, when I was stressed out. Maybe if it wasn't for your movies, I wouldn't be the person I am today. I remember being a young child and teenager, just crying in bed, thinking about how meeting you will be impossible and to be honest, being jealous of your sons and wife hahaha. I have always dreamt of meeting you someday but it is getting harder now, I hope that my dream will come true in the near future. Thank you so much. Your attitude about fame and life is something very inspiring. I never fail to learn something new, something very valuable, something very inspiring from your interviews and your lifestyle. Seeing you in a movie with such a great cast, director and crew was just a dream come true. I had always dreamt of you getting the attention you deserved in the near future and I am glad that now you get the attention you deserve although you deserve more. I would also like to thank you for just being someone to look up to, a role model, for me ever since I was a kid. Thank you so much. This movie, the awards you received, and the many awards that you are about to receive is just the beginning. Your talent will soon be revealed to the world and you will get even more attention that you deserve. I am so happy to see you happy in a while, you look very happy here, or maybe it's because I have seen a lot of videos where you don't look very happy. I hope that only happy things will happen to you now, and I hope that my dream will really come true someday. I have supported you from the beginning of your journey until now, and I am proud to call myself a fan of yours. I will always be there to support you until the end of line, and I really hope to meet you and talk to you as a fellow actor. I don't have the words, I don't have the time to type all the things I am grateful to you, all the things you did to make my life better. You now are a part of my life, someone I cannot imagine to live without. Thank you so much for everything. Next stop, Academy Award! Can't wait for your speech at the Oscars! ❤
TBH I didn't take seriously first two seasons of the Peaky Blinders, but last 3 seasons... oh my God, they were strong! Especially Cillian acting. Thank you for this masterpiece. Still looking forward for the movie.
"I don't know how long it'll last" he says. Reminds me of a very early interview with Mick Jagger who said, "Maybe The Stones will be around for a year - or two." 60 years on............
He's one of those actors that thsnk god for, can go to so many different characters and you still believe he's who hr is! Good or bad! But darling we still love the good ones!! ❤😂😂😂
I totally get what you mean about the pressure of thinking about legacy. It's like trying to predict the ending of a movie while you're still in the opening scene! Keep that hunger alive, though. It's what keeps the journey exciting. And hey, if all else fails, just make sure your legacy includes at least one really good blooper reel. 😉
He hates talking about himself. His legacy will be the first Irish born man to win a best actor Oscar who started making independent films but was noticed by heavy hitters like Danny Boyle and Chris Nolan whilst still remaining grounded and developing no ego.
God loves you and takes care of you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this great universe and has complete control over it. And the greatest loss that a person loses in this life is that he lives while he does not know God who created him, knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. The great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and then you have the choice to believe in it or not. I advise you on this now before you do not have time to do that.
Very old journalist asks young actor about his legacy. Projection. Scott thinking about his legacy. Creepy morbid question. What do you want on your tombstone?
@@noblevictory2200no he’s not saying Cillian is gay, he’s referring to a movie Cillian did I discovered a year ago with the world Pluto in it I think. But Cillian plays cross dresser that think is homosexual
He’s one of the best actors ever.
Absolutely brilliant actor and man. Cilian Murphy. May he carry forever.

He is really cool in the 'In Time' (2011) movie.

The first three seasons were the strongest. S4 and S5 were subpar. We pretend that S6 didn't happen.

Legend
I really wish and hope that man gets cast as Dr Doom in the MCU. Just him only
I'm in love
Can’t wait to see him take the stage when he wins his first Oscar for Oppenheimer!! 🎉
How can he be so humble? Love him😭
He's grounded by his upbringing, his family and friends.
I hope he will do another TV series
An absolute legend
I love him he looks a lot like my oldest son
I didn't know what Red Eye flight was until I saw him in a movie by the same name.
Another Sean Connery just wait I’m calling it from now

Legacy 😮
damn he is in a good head space with saying "too early to thing about legacy"
Legacy to those coming up, remember failing is learning to never give up trying for success!😅

I have no limitation - Thomas Cillian Shelby
His Cork accent is gone he now has our Dublin accent 😂
Tommy shelby ❤
