Monarch worked better for us as a couple. Also, since we were used to Mint, Monarch was the most similar.

Yep! For two different reasons.
The budgeting portion of Empower is not that great in my opinion.
Monarch is MUCH better.
Empower's financial investment tracking tools are far superior to Monarch's tools.
