Smelt polearms, if you have denars just buy expensive polearms and smelt them. You should mostly learn tier 1 parts and then continue to the next tier until you reach the glaive head at tier 4, and then there's the long glaive head at tier 5. Also level up one of your clan members smithing up to the point they unlock a perk that gives you a higher chance to learn parts from smelting, so then smelt expensive polearms only after that point. It shouldnt be too long until you unlock the t4 glaive head.
which lady is the hottest in the game from 1 to 3? been lookn at the locally feral ladys in battania but i feel like i am missing out on non feral ladys out there. any advice would help am dying from old age and butter face cream is not making me young forever
One time in a tournament it was just me and one guy across the arena left after a big melee. He immediately started scrambling around the field grabbing javelins off the ground and hurling them at me quick as he could. He nearly got me. Not just for the obvious but also because i hesitated to attack him. It was one of the most realistic human behaviors I've seen from AI in videogames, I hesitated.
that wasn't AI, that was Harold. He sold his soul so that Bannerlord would actually be released and his soul was cursed to become trapped in the game and you killed him...
The AI picking up ammo and thrown weapons from the ground is actually a pretty old feature. I know it definitely predated the 1.0 release. It is most obvious during bandit hideout missions where the pace is much slower and your troops actually have the opportunity to recover a lot of stuff from the ground.
People on the TW forum: "Bannerlord is a shallow game." I, with over 1000 hours accumulated during the last two years and many achievements unlocked: "There are still features I didn't know about. Marvelous!"
Early in a campaign, I was soloing a group of woodland bandits, just riding in circles, waiting for them to run out of arrows. I was shocked when I saw them picking up arrows. Regarding that smithing feature, that's going to be super handy for testing crafting recipe resale value. I would love it if the smithing menu would give a range of sale values for a particular recipe before you craft it.
Personally, I knew about 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 10. The dismounting side can be useful to know in the future, but it's more common that I get dismounted than dismount myself.
Dismounting makes sense if your mount has low health so you can grab a new one from another fallen unit. Especially useful for high tier horses you don't want to get lame.
Only one I didn't know was controlling the side you dismount on. That will help a lot in my current playthrough of conquering the world with clan and companions only
@@Ansalion This. What Ansalion said. Create a notepad, I recommend using Notepad++ and paste your favorite weapons in there. You can share your favorite weapons with friends too.
The one thing that has always annoyed me about archers in bannerlord is that crossbowmen have a longer range than regular bowmen. This was the reverse in real life especially for light crossbows as depicted in game. I assume it’s a balancing thing but it still bugs me

I just had the older brother fill it. It doesn't have a lot of uses for this type of playthrough so I didn't even put in any focus points in my brother's skills for it.
Chasing steppe bandits with a speed of 6.9 while I have a top speed of 5.5 - ising arrow keys on the map to trap the bandits into corners was the only way around it
Only thing I didn't know was dismounting rom a horse - though I am surprised you found out the birthday thing as I only know that because I know how it's set in the code from my modding work.
It's not a mod, it's in the vanilla game. For nords, they are the culture that actually becomes the Nord kingdom in warband, which is the other mount and blade game that was set in a period after bannerlord, so bannerlord is a prequel. Sturgia are similar to nords but they are actually not nords. The sea raider bandits are actually nords. Not too sure for the other two but i believe maybe darshi are desert bandits.
I just found out you can use throwable weapons as melee weapons to,not sure what button it is on pc but i have a pc and use an xbox controller, just double tap RB with the javelin or axe in hand and it wont throw the weapon it will be used as a melle then double tap to to throw it..
Is there any hard cap for the numbers of the clans you can recruit in vanilla? Can you recruit the ruling clan of destroyed kingdom - there is no dialogue option...?
In my experience, the ruling clan will never leave their kingdom and you can never recruit them. A kingdom is only destroyed after all the clans except the ruling clan leaves, and then all the members in the ruling clan dies.
@@Mr.Chicken Huh thats interesting... destroyed NE all its clans are separated but no recruitment option to gey them join you. Lucon and its clan are still alive... wonder if thats coming from any of the mods... still useless if they are there for just being there...
Good video I have theories but i would like to know in what it depends whether you have or not ladders to climb walls Cos I think I've seen level 3 walls, built the whole 9 yards of siege machinery and when I start the fight my troops just leave them there and go straight to the ladder lol
If you don't build any siege towers you will always have two ladders as there are always two walls you can assault (and gate). The level of the wall decides how tall the ladders will be (same with siege towers). The higher level the wall, the taller it is, so more men will be lost while scaling the wall on ladders as they will need more time to climb ladders. Siege towers are somewhat defended by this. You can also destroy the two walls (or just one) from the campaign map while sieging, which is easily done with trebuchets. Each wall you destroy will mean there won't be a wall which means a ladder or siege tower won't spawn, as again there is no wall there.
You can also be killed inside town for thieves I didn't know you could do this on bannerlord atleast But I was once in a town(don't remember exactly which one) just walking, chilling Talked to a bunch of ppl mumbling in a corner of a street He says What r u looking at? I obviously picked the wrong dialog choice They came towards me with knives almost got me killed (I play with dead on) It was so fkn random lol Since then, I always carry a couple of throwing knives and a monster hammer (self-made obviously) with me :p
Yo, that was a gang. Each town has three gang alleys, and if you go there you can fight them all and clear the city of gangs. This will reduce relationships with the gang leaders, but should improve relations with the non gang leaders. So it might give you an extra recruitment spot in the city from the non gang leaders while you'll lose one from the gang leaders. You can also replace the gang alley and run a gang yourself, and you'll get a very low amount of daily gold, like 80, and you will be able to get some random bandits too.
My companions mostly have polearms, maces, and shields, and I see them switch to mace or polearm depending on the enemy type a lot. I think this also works on mounts depending on if they’re charging or in close quarter combat
@@Mr.Chicken I'll have to try it, I'm interested in the ability to get your infantry captains to keep improving most of their skills, mainly wives, like Ladogual, which is average good in all of them with the possibility of continuing to improve.
Idk if it was changed or not from when this video came out but I save just a few hours before my spouse gives birth and it changes the gender of my kid(s) almost ever time. I always do this until I get twin boys.
its somewhat random. The less kids you have and the younger your wife the better the chance she will be pregnant. In Beta 1.2 you don't need to wait in a settlement for the wife to get pregnant. I think after your wife turns 40 it's impossible for her to get pregnant.
