So is this like the new mid step between okay you've won F2 but no seat for you so you go over do SF? Is it just like a bridge between to keep you ready in case a seat opens or is it just more on the level of F2 basically a side step

From my understanding, it's a half step up. Faster than F2 slower than F1

speedwise yeah it's F1.5, it can either be a final preperation for f1 or a final chance if you didn't do amazingly enough in F2.

very nice liam seemed a sensation on first race in super formula ! and even now third win of the season last weekend nice ! only 1 point from championship leader
hmm i even wonder if redbull would notice super formula champion if lawson gets it, but since honda being their usual boneheaded selves decided to get back in f1 but missed there chance to relink with RB, i bet RB wouldnt mind dumping tsunoda
but maybe theyll wait and see if honda make a great engine again for aston martin before making their decision to have favorable bargaining for a potential chance to change back to honda after engine freeze/committed contracts

i mean they need a consistently good driver even if honda/aston martin combo makes best car, because lance isn't consistent enough to at least win the drivers championship as lead driver and tsunoda hasn't shown enough consistency either unless the car is just sooo much faster it makes up for their mistakes, but unlikely
honda will move to the best team their engine is allowed to be put in, realistically the only teams they would have interest is RB, Aston or Mclaren since they are most likely out of the customer teams to have a chance to fight at top
if they can get Aston to beat those other teams they'll stay with Aston no matter what since they already committed, but if any of those teams are doing better than Aston, I really think they'll jump ship ASAP
and RB made the second best car in the whole championship for 3 years under mercedes 7 year streak, only losing 2nd place to ferrari the other 4 years. So I think RB will maintain being the best customer team at least for the next 5 years
and i think Honda would try to get back to the best customer team, and I think RB would take honda back in a heart beat regardless of RBs big engine facility being built now and despite any long term contracts Aston and Honda may or may not have
Honda wants to win, RB wants to win the most out of the customer teams, unless Aston fires lance and gets the best drivers they possibly can like RB and most teams try to do, automatically RB wants to win more than Aston and their record the last 12 years says they most likely will at least be 'winning' within the customer teams
