I own a DFAM which I've really struggled to warm up to. I know other people are able to create amazing stuff with it, which is why I bought it. I have to say, at first glance, the layout of this machine seems so much better, logical, and the pitch and velocity knobs aren't ridiculously small, and, IT COMES WITH MIDI. Bravo on this machine
Yeah, it's so much better than DFAM. Moog oscillators are quite unstable, even Boog takes like 20 min to warm up, I ended up not switching it off at all 😅
THANKS Behringer for all of your great products. Now Behringer needs to start Creating Rackmount Units, like reverb, delay, equalizers, compressors, gates, digital and analog synths with all instrument sounds including drums etc... We need all of that to be created asap because people are starting to go back to an All Analog Studio Setup.. Peace Fam.. K.N. 2023
You don‘t have to image it because Moog built the originals to complete each other and there are a lot of videos of how you do that on the Moog channel.
@@VictorSteiner exactly - I don't have to imagine because I've had the better made M32 and DFAM in my eurorack rig, and if you are doing modular and need Midi you aren't doing modular very well
And the neutron patch together with model D..? Have you tried It..? The Model D is the only Behringer synth with some modular connections.. like in and out of every LFO waves.. input modulation and the exit of the 3 OSC together. In and out of envelopes and input filter that you connecr to overdrive out of the neutron. And I leave space to your fantasy..⭐
What a cool piece of kit. Imagine how much more enjoyable the Behringer TD-3 would be with this many knobs on it to easily dial in groovey patterns on the fly. That would make it so much better to program and fun to play.

Lovely, just lovely. Literally five minutes ago I ordered a few Raspberry Pis together with ADC, Audio DACs, MIDI interfaces and stuff and decided to build my own stuff, merely out of desperation. And now you state that the Edge is finally becoming available. Talk about timing...
I have yet to own a behringer product but i love my DFAM and was about to buy a second one... everything but the color here sounds just as impressive... If colour was sound... But $400 less for a hobbyist i might have to pick one up and just paint it...
@@aarondiver4693 I don't get that. Some folk don't have the cash to burn on top-end gear. Why shouldn't they consider buying synths that are within their budget? If you know what you are doing you can get something good out of most kit regardless of price
I have been doing some calculations and I think if you moved the patch points to the right or left sides of the main controls, then you could make this fit into 3U and therefore also mount in any standard eurorack case. I'd definitely be interested in that version. Cheers
I have a TD-3, RD-6, and Crave. I want to add the TD-3 MO and Edge. All of those together would be glorious. Maybe toss my Wasp in there too. The Edge looks like a ton of fun. I want to see how the patch points play with the patch points on the crave.
This sounds powerful! I’m still waiting for a SB 1200! Or some other oldschool sampler. Or a keyboardsampler like an asr10. Sample all the behringer synths into it.

Hey man, Patrick here (the dude who makes the Behringer videos). I didn't buy the cable, I made it. It's easy to do, I just cut 3 patch cables in half, then solder 2 ends to 1 end (repeat twice for 2 Y-cables). Then just used shrinkwrap to cover the solder joints, of course applying it to the cables before soldering, then put in place after solder and put a lighter on it and it shrinks around the cable solder joint. DIY is always the best bang for the buck ;)

The closest I got was an adapter. 3.5mm plastic adapter with two female 3.5mm females on the other side. All mono. There's plenty of stereo to 2 mono's but none like yours. I don't suppose you'd be willing to make me a couple and send it if I pay? I'm UK. Where r u?
I'm so ready for this I have been keeping an eye out for this for years I sold my dfam because the lack of midi just made it a chore to integrate I had a midi to CV device but I thought Moog were taking liberties by not having midi any way I missed it a lot and then this was announced and it was the improvement this device needs
You had a Dfam for a couple hunnies but no other Gear that can send CV? It's just 2 patchpoints and you can sync it without a problem and even play chromaticly, I do it all the time with my analog four

Guys, any chances that you'll make a fresh firmware for DeepMind 6 and 12? I think that maybe you could renew some internal plugins, add some digital features... Like wavetables... I know it's a lot of work but you could sell more DMs out of that!
@@jjrusy7438 DMs uses digital envelopes and LFOs (as far as I know)... So that was the reason why I was asking for this. If there is enough memory for few wavetables (and few source slots in the "route matrix" as they can't be used as oscillators directly) then I'm pretty much sure it's possible. BTW, did you've seen videos of a guy who did made the custom firmware for Neutron?
@@KiR_3d JJ is right. Wavetable would have to be built in to the oscillator design from the beginning. It’s impossible to do it on the current hardware.
@@sub-jec-tiv Do you know the LFO trick that causes DM to "output" triangle waveshape sounds (through filter)? I mean something like that. A kind of a modulation by modulatable/changable wavetables that could help to create a huge variety of new sounds for DMs.
@@KiR_3d analog architecture says no to replacing the dco's with samples. Digital control is not digital. You would be better off starting from scratch. You ignore the fact of hardware integration. This isn't a blank digital slate you can create any vst with.
Love mine , this whole range is the best think Behringer have done imo . But you would be buying this primarily for the low percussive sounds yeah as plenty of other synths can do the higher other stuff ?? 😊

Dm12 is analog. wavetables are digital, so no on anything playing samples. things like new presets would be possible
