Something that I can't praise enough about MamaYuyu is the paneling. It's honestly some of the most creative and impactful paneling I've seen in a new manga in a long time.
Like it's very unique.
Like it can have basic paneling but the mangaka just shakes things up here and there and it just makes it so exciting and esthetic👌
Exactly I'm surprised sufferents didn't notice the paneling.
All memes aside, Kagurabachi could be HUGE if the author plays their cards right
Haven’t seen how the reception among Japanese fans is yet. Cause they’re what actually matters when considering if a series is going to continue it’s run
@lesgoubrandon5010 bro there's literally just 3 chapters so far lol. It does look interesting tho
u be the judge after you read it
I'm somewhat apprehensive about the fate of Kagurabachi in the future because of the excessive hype surrounding it. When a manga receives so much hype, there is often a high expectation from people, but then they end up getting disappointed, just like what happened with Demon Slayer and MHA.
Mha was ruined by its loser fanbase
demon slayer as a story wasnt all that crazy but financially its one of the most successfull in the anime manga industry, same with mha wich got ruined by the fanbase
@@argy7526I hate when people say that a story is ruined because of something completely external to it, it's so stupid to me. A lot of people don't give a shit about what's around a series or franchise and just appreciate the story for what it is
@@mattb.7079 I absolutely agree. Rather than hastily dismissing a story as one of the worst ever merely because it doesn't satisfy our expectations of being exceptionally distinct or intricate, why can't we just value and derive enjoyment from the narrative that the author intended for people to immerse themselves in? Of course, you're entitled to have an opinion on it, whether it's negative or positive, but there's no need to continuously insult it or ridicule it simply because someone didn't enjoy it.
Too be honest, i feel like its folks own fault if they cant manage their expectations and get dissapointed. The other 2 you mention weren’t failures either way so hype cant really harm a series.
I think Kagurabachi has some Dorohedoro influence in the set up. I think a point you missed is the fact that the antagonist force are high up Sorcerers, not demons. It’ll be interesting how it spins it’s revenge narrative along with this vs “the powers that be” narrative alongside it.
Personally Mamayuyu is by far my favorite of these three newbies. It feels refreshing while still being able to adhere to some of the more classic shonen tropes with its own little twists while at the same time have some of the best paneling I've seen in the magazine ever. Kagura Bachi is probably my least favorite of the 3 just because it has yet to grab me emotionally in any way. I think its art is great, its paneling is solid and even great at times, but other than that its story and characters have yet to interest me. Two on ice is weird because I'm not sure if i like it or not yet. I think the 1st chapter was great and so far the 2s dynamic is solid but im still waiting for the moment for it to hook me. I think this is the most promising batch of new series we've seen in the magazine in a long time so I at least hope 1 if not 2 of these become a staple in the magazine if given enough time.
From the three of them, MamaYuyu is my catch. The paneling and the goofy nature that it can unleash at any moment is pretty nice. And I could tell that the mangaka has emotion and an inspirational tale packed behind this.
And stuff like that is what I live for 💛and I'll probably stick with this and Two on Ice.
The three of them all together, I think will do awesome in Shounen Jump if they're able to keep it good and they're able to stay 🙏
The other new ones, I don't really feel it :/. But we'll never know what happens will we 😄
Mamayuyu and KaguraBachi kinda snagged my interest in their latest chapters for different reasons. In Mamayuyu I already liked the story and was interested to see where it went but it kinda dawned on me that it feels sorta similar to Dragon Quest XI with the whole mark of the hero, and design of the characters so for me its the one I am rooting for the most.
Mamayuyu is the best one. The main character has been a breath of fresh air, the premise is great and the world building is pretty good already. The art and paneling has been top tier
Obviously kagura bachi is the best one.
I agree, out of the both Mama Yuyu has the best art and the best characters
MamaYuyu hooked me chapter 1, I am a sucker for single mother stories and the relationship between Mamama and Corleo is something special to me. Thank you for the wonderful video as always!
Shonen Jump new serialization review is something i've always wanted like so many of them just go under the radar and then get axed. Hope you will continue it.
im really enjoying wild strawberry right now, im not sure how people like it so far but I like the mc and the world itself seems interesting so far
Kagurabachi and mamayuyu seem very good until now
enough time has passed, give kagurabachi manga of the decade award
So far the one I'm most drawn to is Kaugrabachi, I just feel it has amazing potential if it's done right. If the power system is balanced, if the characters become more fleshed out, it can be really good.
i dont think we've really seen anything from the power system yet have we?
@@samuelduenas1591 only some aspects of it but it needs to be further explored
i saw kagurabachi and i already clicked the video
Kagurabachi my goat!!
Dawg your clips and pictures are hilarious😭😂
While I think Two on Ice has a lot of potential, I sadly think it's inevitably going to get the axe cause it's competing directly with Blue Box for the "romance+sports" niche, which isn't helped by how Blue Box supposedly(?) has an anime in the works
I want werewolf manga. Rabid dog stories like that are rare.
red hood had promise but SJ only cares about one metric
You might like wolf guy, although that manga is the edgiest manga I've ever read.
any thoughts on MamaYuyu ending suddenly? i was catching up with the series as it went along and its end just caught me off guard!
really excited for these series, been super good so far
Based Fujimoto. Other Kagurabachi, I've heard a lot of good things about Mamayuyu.
Stop. That Fujimoto video. 😂😂
Who let him levitate😂😂
already saw an edit of the sword guy and how he would solo jjk or something like that 😭
The memes you use are amazing.
goddamn i love this man's videos
MamaYuyu the strongest to me so far from what it's brought while Kagurabachi has a meme hype community but nothing really going for it in the actual story to me it's been subpar mediocre but hope it starts being talked about for the right reasons for authors sake since he's probably still confused af rn then Two on Ice is cool to see another sports manga out here but way too early to tell.
Hopefully kagurabachi uses its initial boost in interest as meme fodder to get eyes on something that actually becomes interesting. The first two chapters aren’t terrible, but they leave a lot to be desired. The setting is at least somewhat interesting if nothing else
THE KAGURA BACHI IS REALLLLLLLL😩😩😩😩😩
Wild strawberry is slept on
It seems that Shonen Jump is cooking
MamaYuyu had amazing paneling that really jumped out to me with its characters but Kagurabachi annoyed me when it just jumping back and forth from smithing to talking at table with a character than yeah was interesting but so obviously going to die which annoyed me I will say the action isn't bad
i just know bro loves medalist AND SO SHOULD EVERYONE THAT SEES THIS
The only reason why we push kaguribachi is to annoy the boruto community really..
Use no obses less. dad. sed.
Ugh....?! 👍 OK.
The onlythink I have like about two on ice is the art.
Can you at least try and make the images and videos related to what you talk about
I agree. It's absolutely not to be mean but it's been distracting and disturbing for months now
all the extra noises in the video are just distracting and annoying :(
It just doesn't work with his more serious and grounded style. I don't know why he started trying to edit his videos like degenerocity
MamaYuyu is so predictable and generic it hurts. Great classic art style but that story is flat, boring, and uninteresting. The story would still be mid as hell even without the “child thats actually an adult” trope or the fact that Corleo is a Midoriya clone. It steals just enough from other popular series to feel completely familiar and totally unoriginal.
I like it more than kagurabachi because of the artstyle and the unique paneling.
i think while there are similarities between him and Deku (especially since its the beginning of the story) the series has done enough do distance itself from that same way of tackling what it means to be a hero since in MHA Deku has the blueprint and knows for the most part what being a hero is about and how living in a superpowered society affects everyone since its so present in their daily live while Corleo struggles with what being a hero is since he has lived in a world where he is not needed and not encouraged to be the hero he was literally born to be and the only other hero he has met until chp 4 was one who also had lost what being a hero meant
@@markryanfranciscortez I agree it has very sailor moon/yuyu hakusho-esque art style that makes me feel like I'm reading something published in the 90's in a familiar way, that's what kept me till chapter 4 but nothing about the world/characters interests me at all.
@@samuelduenas1591 I guess it just doesn't hit as hard for me, I knew the other hero was evil from his haircut and outfit, feels way too predictable and generic.
@@Tyrannosaur6265 predictable sure i can see that but i cant get behind generic because for the most part it has at least done something different with the typical Shonen tropes it has used so far besides the one where he cant talk to women but hopefully that gag doesnt stick for too long
