- What is the difference between bb cream cc cream and foundation? I'm going to answer AND show you in 10 minutes in this makeup video! We're going to go through all the differences between BB cream, CC cream and foundation.
In this makeup video I'll explain exactly what a BB cream, CC cream and foundation is and what each does and I'll also apply each to my face to show you how it looks so difference to the other. This is everything you need to know about these products and is an easy guide to what a BB cream, CC cream and foundation is.

For those people who are broke (like me) and can't afford the it cosmetics cc cream, I've heard elf's Camo CC cream is a pretty good dupe. Additionally if you bought a foundation and realise you wanted something lighter, just mix some of it in with your moisturiser and boom! You have a BB cream.

I've used it and it blew my mind! However, it did cling to dry spots on my but I just mixed it with a little moisturizer and it worked flawlessly

BB cream is (B)asic coverage. CC cream is more of a (C)omplete coverage.

Agreed, the IT Cosmetics CC cream is a literal game changer. I wear Dior foundation and this CC cream has literally eliminated ALL of my foundation. It’s perfect, perfect, perfect. It’s like a tinted lotion, I usually set it with a very light dusting of powder and I’m good all. day. long. Literally, amazing. 👌🏽

Thank you so much for explaining the difference. Very helpful. I must share that the cc It cosmetic cream rates high in toxicity level according to EWG rating. It is a high rate of 9 out of 10 with 10 being highest in toxicity. Incase anyone is interested I use Andalou cc cream roses which rates a 2 (with 0 being the cleanest. ) it smell like roses if you like the scent. Also although I’m light skin I like to use the tan one because it’s sheer and it blends beautifully giving me a beautiful glow.

I love your videos. I’m great with makeup but not very knowledgeable. I kinda just go off of experience when ppl ask for advise, and you always confirm that what I learn from my experiences is always right. And that It’s cosmetic is my favorite as well. I use a CC cream for day to day at work because it's quick and it gives a pretty glow. Because of my job it would be impractical and inappropriate to wear foundation. I save that for full on glam days. So worth trying CC guys.....

Thanks for the explaination - BareMinerals has an incredible bb cream with loads of colors and then a matching color stick that you can use should you need a little more coverage. But I love the coverage of this product, a little goes a long way and it stays put all day without creasing or cakiness. I tried the it cc cream and boy my skin hated it. But thats why we have so many products.

Hi Nina, thank you for this education on the differences between BB, CC and Foundation. So, I do have a questions, why bronzer and blush. Especially sense so many content creators put them in the same place on the cheek? For me… when I try and use bronzer, blush, highlighter it seems to muddy up. Thank you 😊

Nina, I would love to know your tips for very watery eyes. My eyes tear up during makeup, but after about 20 to 30 minutes stops, but by then my makeup is sometimes ruined. Tks!
Have you tried eye drops before you put make up on? I’ve had this problem from time to time and find that helps

So would a BB cream work for your "under foundation contour technique" that I saw in one of your other videos? I really love that technique and it makes it so much easier to my contouring,as I am far away from being a great make up artist.But for daily basis and occasional gatherings , I love rocking a natural make up look ,that defines and enhances my facial structures.

I normally use foundation in winter to protect my skin from the cold, but once it gets hotter I stop using foundation because I have the feeling it is sort of suffocating and not letting my skin breathe through it. Would you recommend to use BB or CC creams instead during the summer?

How can you easily find your shade on any of them. I have always been told match it to the inside of you wrist then I was told to match it on my neck. I love to do my makeup but finding the right shades of foundation and concealer is a little hard sometimes bc I’m never sure what shade I need. I know for blemishes to cover with a shade that’s like your natural shade but for the highlighting and contouring I never know how light to go or how dark to go. But mainly how to match my foundation to my skin. Bc what I see in the bottle is not always a true match. And it’s either too light or too dark. I don’t know my undertones either.

I'm more of a CC Cream girl. I just started using foundation, but I get scared using because I feel 'heavy'. The CC cream is lightweight and has all the goodness for my skin. Plus, I'm not the best at picking the right shade LOL
I use Mary Kay Cosmetics CC cream over concealer and it just melts into my skin. It has spf in it, so it's a bonus. No powder needed.

Good question because I’m curious too
Most primers are for texture or oiliness/dryness and can even be worn with no makeup. If you use a primer for pores then you would want to use your primer under the CC or BB cream. The same would apply if your primer was being used to control oiliness or dryness.
