- In this episode of Smack Talk, I sat down with the Tree Punisher himself.
He is a former French Foreign Legion commando, who has fought in the jungles of French Guiana and in the Bosnian War. He shared with us his incredible journey of adventure and hardships.
He also revealed other facets of his life as a former BJJ champion in Brazil, where he trained with some of the best fighters in the world.
But that's not all! Mr. Punisher is also a successful entrepreneur, owning the best tree cutting service in Ottawa and an international DJ.
He shared with us how his experiences in the military and in the world of martial arts have helped him to build a successful business and what it takes to be an effective leader.
Join us for a thrilling, alcohol induced conversation with a legend.

Cool interview and at least he’s able to have a laugh unlike some of the GI JOE heroes on these podcasts.
Planing on joining the foreign legion this year coming from the Bahamas 🇧🇸
Go for it bro. Don't let anyone discourage you
Never give up and never quit, and as harsh as it sounds… remember there are NO excuses. Excuses is just weakness. Take any failures and look at it as an opportunity to grow, to strive, to conquer!
This amazing man trained me for 4 years and never got tired of hearing his stories !
He is the best 😎
I spent the whole interview laughing. This guy is amazing! Thx for sharing
Love this guy. He still remember how to pronounce correctly Calvi
I worked with them in Sarajevo in 1993. I was British army. The soldiers were treated horribly by the NCO’s, even in an operational environment. A shame in a way, but looking at the raw recruitment material one can understand why.
11 m a second … damn you really gonna break something that’s fast fast

Its weird that they hold the French Foreign Legion in high regard while also recognizing it is used to colonize foreign land
Yeah, which is cool
The question is were they an effective military unit, not whether French govt 's decision to colonize country A is good, bad.
@@teller1290 It's a very good question though. Would be nice to get FFL vets, either Joel Struthers (a Canadian who served 6 years in the Legion and as a commando in the GCP) or recent FFL vet, Taylor Cavanaugh (only Legionnaire with US Navy SEAL experience, was attached to the GCM), to answer that if they're given the opportunity to be on future episodes.
