What its like to own/drive a Slingshot!

- I had some free time today and decided to shoot some footage (iPhone Xs Max) while I washed it, and a few (crappy) driving shots and talk about what its like to own the Slingshot. I decided against talking while driving, as it would've had way too much wind noise, so I just dubbed it over in my editing program through my computer.
I bought the Slingshot new in mid-August of 2018, it was a 2019 model, not even at the dealer yet. It was delivered straight from Polaris, and at the time, the white was a rare color, and I liked it over the black.
Its a PAIN to keep this thing clean!
Ill upload a new video this week going over all the "mods" i've done to mine, since the "S" model is the base model, and doesn't come with much at all.

I have a 2021R and love it. It is a attention getter. It fills good when people give you thumbs up
I'm about to get one, but seems like they could try to do better on a couple of things. Those huge head screws around the radio could definitely be smaller and black, to match.
I bought mine new in 2017 SLR. I rode mine in the rain for 4 hours on my way to Maggie Valley N.C.that was for a Slingshot rally. that was a lot of fun about 600 other Slingshots from all over the lower 48 and at least one from Canada. A 15 minute fill up most of the time it ended up being 35 to 45 minutes.

I just bought a 2023 Slingshot R, it's Awesome!! I can't do a clutch because of my back and leg problems!! JS, but I love it!!
this video had such bad camera angles but in an odd way they were what i was seeking for🤣i genuinely loved every shot he showed even when it wasnt on purpose, its those shots you never see from other channels

Have you ever ridden or owned a motorcycle? How do you compare this to owning a motorcycle, as the best toy you've ever owned.
I'm deciding on grabbing one, but then the interior just looks so cheap, looking at the older models. I'm thinking yolo, but checking on other owners on UA-cam first and their opinions on it. If I get this, it will be my daily, as did my motorcycle when I owned one. Live in Cali. Some rain when it wants to rain, owned a bike before so don't mind.
Insurance is insane though. You would think with 3 wheels Insurance companies would love the extra stability. I pay about a grand a year for my 2019 S and I'm 55 and a driving record clean enough for the post office.
My Triumph Rocket 3 was much less than half for insurance even though it could kill me a lot faster.

Living in canada. it gets cold over here on winters. does it have trouble cold starting saying im at work doing my 8 hours, then I wanna go home and boom...wont start? is that something to worry about?

It's not bouncy. The stiffest corner hugging suspension.
I’m from Michigan and I just order my sling shot do you know any places that do installations for the sling shots
so with the sling shot do you have to have a motorcycle license and if you financed it what are the payments like i would love to get one if i can make payments
How do you know about the 2020 Slingshot being an automatic? Do you know when it’ll be announced? Usually they get released around August and so far no word on it!
What kind of audio system you running bud?

Does wind hit your face while driving
Not to bad, we put the slingshade roof on ours, so very little wind.
Is this your only vehicle ?
No way! I daily drive it when the weather is adequate, but I live in Michigan, so we have many many many cold, snowy months that she sits in the garage.
Need special license?
Motorcycle plate on the bike, your car license is all you need in 47 states. NewYork , Massachusetts and Alaska require a motorcycle endorsement.
