This is awesome info, TY! Question? My GE Model # is: GFD65GSPNOSN, How to find correct Control Panel Board?? Is it likely different from your board or close to the same? How did you find the correct circuit board for your gas dryer? Paul
@@appliancerepairshorts the main board has power… And the plug going to the control board also has power. I have replaced both boards and the button to turn on still does nothing. I do not see any burnt marks. The capacitors on the main board have power also.
What voltage are you getting from the terminal block. That is what the cord is connected to. Unplug first then remove the cover. Check voltage from left to center-120 from center to right-120 now from left to right -240. Did you set the personally number? Almost forgot, there is a micro board make sure you plug it in. Or it might be bad. It is on the main board. Around 5:28 that is the little board
just got a GE dishwasher job, no power. needs a board replacement but customer decided not to do it because the board is 190 plus labor and a new dish washer is 500. wasnt worth it to him. this is common with GE boards?
Yeah sometimes it is cheaper to replace, but also let your customer know that on a new dishwasher you will installation. So that’s part of the total. Also let them know if they have a more expensive dishwasher, it might be worth fixing it because a cheaper one is not as good as what they have

I never knew that about those capacitors. Another school day😀
Always appreciate
Do you have a video to test the control board?
That video showed you how to check the board. You can also look for damage comments and burnt marks. What issue are you having with it?

1:57 Magnet? Wow!
What would cause the board to get fried like that?
A massive surge. If you getting lots of lightning, turn off your breaker. Use a surge protector
@@appliancerepairshorts thank you
