I think bottom feeder vacuum is a game changer. It's like playing a video game with cheat codes. It will make your pool cleaning service so much easier. Especially after the heavy wind, it's gonna save you a couple of hours a day on 15 plus pool route.
Bottom feeder is a game changer and time saver. Best vacuum on the market hands down. Me and my business partner own 4 and are getting 2 more for back ups(Not for break downs. New cleaners added to the team). They have become that vital
This a great cleaner , I’ve had it for 1 year and a half , they have upgraded a lot of parts ! Which I needed up paying $900 for upgrades . Cable , bags , motor . It’s worked amazing . New motor last longer . I still bought a riptide
@@benitobuitron6276 - Which one do you like better and which one works better? I own a pool business and and I’m wanting to get one or the other but can’t decide which one.
Can I modify it as to where the dirt gets trapped by putting a fine pool sock within the mesh bag? Does that make sense? Assuming there is a sock sized big enough for this?
Yup, haven’t wanted to bring the company bad rep but yes, the bottom feeder stopped working for me and I haven’t reached out to the owner yet to see what we can do about a replacement battery. They completely stopped selling new units for a while and just recently started selling them again. We have 2 riptide SL with the carts and will be receiving a third one later this week.
It picks up sand, and it picks up dirt the problem is that the bags aren’t fine enough to hold the dirt in. The bags will hold sand in but dirt is kind of hard because the moment it goes into the bag it disperses back into the pool. Only the bigger debris will actually be picked up and held in the bag.
I see your reason why no riptide, you didnt had the WHOLE Riptide cart, you can carry all in that cart, 1 trip and easy to carry, only con of the riptide is in a small place, for example a fence and AC unit next to in a small space the riptide wont fit, so you will have to use the old way vacumm hose. Other than that, riptide is the best.

What do you mean by setup? You want to know what I carry in it? I don’t suggest buying a pool route because it can be quite expensive and you don’t know if it will work or not. By building it up using advertising you get the full experience. You learn how to talk to customers, you know how to distinguish different types of customers. You also get to choose how much you want to get paid. With a paid route your stuck, at least for some months, with the rate that the last person was charging.
@@rodriguezpoolservice3447 Yes what do you carry on your caddy? I just got in to the pool industry as a pool tech with the goal of having my own route. What is the average time you spend per pool? Also what would you recommend to get customers? Thank you and keen them videos coming...
Just an observation, why do you carry a caddy? especially in the winter time. I see you have a vacuum head, brush, acid, chlorine..looks cumbersome. I take the pole, with net attached, throw the brush inside, a small cup with a little handle to hook on the net, with some cal hypo in it, and Bottom Feeder in my left hand. Could not be any easier. Everybody has their own method, but I am into doing things as simple and efficient as possible.
What about your test kit? Soap to let you see clearer? Test strips aren’t good for ph readings so that’s not an option for reliable testing. What about acid? Are you not adjusting ph or do you take a separate scoop with ph down?
Test strips in pocket, they are definitly close enough. Ive compared results to Leslies free water test, theyre close enough. Also, if you get your alkalinity where it should be, you will not have PH bouncing around. I dont need to squirt soap, just wastes precious seconds. Ive had hundreds of pool accounts for many years, sold many accounts. If your spending more than 15 minutes at a pool, to me its just wasted time. Just my opinion, like I said, everybody has their own method, whatever puts the most money in your pocket
You can buy the riptide XP for about 950 but you have to buy a battery and charger as well for an extra $200 (just an estimate). $1150 Or The bottom feeder is an all in one and it comes with its charger for about $1400. The riptide is more powerful but if ease of use is the number one priority. Then I suggest the bottom feeder.
Considering buying, so someone please help me answer, will this get dirt too or just leaves? If you had a pool with thick dirt and no leaves are you busting this out or getting the manual vacuum
The last thing I’m going to bust out is this. It’s only good for leaves and larger debris. As far as dirt goes there’s is nothing that compares a system vac or a trash pump.
@rodriguezpoolservice3447 thanks for the reply. I read the 57 micron bag will pick up dirt. Not true? What about small rocks? I'm in the Keys & almost every yard here is peastone which inevitably ends up in the pool
If you can get away with getting the cart to every backyard then I’m with you. Unfortunately some backyards don’t allow for entrance with a cart. I have about 8 out of a 80 pool route and that’s when the bottom feeder outshines the riptide. It is slower but not by much!
@@carrtex won’t be the last time. Sooner or later the bottom feeder will be competing head to head with riptide. And everyone will forget about hammerheads and powerVacs.

I have both too. If you had to only pick one it would be the Bottom Feeder.
Really why
I would too. The portability the versatility. Can’t go wrong with it.
I use a cart that carrys everthing so it's a one trip. A folding or tool box cart helps
I’ll be buying one before fall time comes. Need to save my shoulder and back, been scooping leaves for over 12 years. Haha
Although it is a great workout, you can definitely save your shoulders, arms and Time!
Oh man, that’s the worst 😂
Just bought one for my pool route. How does it do with peastone/small rocks in the pool?
I heard there was a recall on the bottom feeder. Battery keeps on exploding.

I guess you could, but with like any cleaner that uses bags. The finer bags will get clogged pretty quickly.

Not that I know of.
