    Quality this, I think a lot of teachers and students over complicate piano, Not to take anything away from the talent of great pianists but I think when learning people over think and sometimes even think themselves out of learning, You actually break down simple techniques that you can then throw into other progressions and scales, Which really opens up the world of piano which I think a lot of people don't really want to teach...Let's face it a lot of teachers will have you playing bar bar black sheep for 6 months before you actually learn anything.
