- For the last two years, Alex from Tropical Acres Farms and I did an amazing Father's Day Mango Tasting. Because of the late mango season, we will not have our mango tasting on Father's day this year. Instead, we got better news.
We are teaming up with UF/IFAS Palm Beach County Extension and they will be hosting its first-ever Mango Fest on June 30, 2024, at Mounts Botanical Garden in West Palm Beach, Florida!!! This amazing event will include:
~Mango Tastings
~Mango Education and Lectures
~Mango and Tropical Fruit Tree Sales
~...and so much more!
We will have more information and a registration link coming soon.
If you’re interested in volunteering or being a vendor for our event, please contact Candace Smith at Csmith5@pbcgov.org or 561-233-1759.
The Florida Mango Fest 2024 will be held at Mounts Botanical Garden

Really well-spoken and informative young man, as always!
Hopefully consider live streaming the event online.
There will probably be UA-camrs there doing some livestreams
Great news!!!!! Thank you guys! This event will be AWESOME for all of us "mango lovers"! ❤🥭❤️
Thank you! We are really excited about it.
Just subbed! This is awesome what you’re doing for the community.
Great news guys. I wasn’t going to be able to make the Father’s Day event but this one I will. See you there!
Took off work for the father's day. Now I'm waiting to hear if I can change It to this one 😂
Awesome ❤❤
Thanks
Woooohooooo!!! See you there!!
Don’t forget this mango festival on pine island. They need some love after hurricane Ian and would be great to see the response of the plants. Maybe they found a salt tolerant or wind resistant variety.
Do you have information on the Pine Island Mango Fest?

Wow. Thank you for sharing. I didn’t know there was another event like it. Last year I went to the Father’s Day Event at Alex place and it was great. I was the first one there. I am in the beginning of video with the blue Under Armour Shirt. I came all the way from Orlando for this event. Paul and Alex did an amazing job with it. Getting out was the hardest part of the event. It was so packed but worth the experience. There was so much positive energy, no security personnel was needed. 😂
@@Carlos1075 Carlos it will be great to see you again
Woohoooooo!!!
Wow! This is so exciting! I wish I could attend.

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!!!!!!!
Oh I wish it was in July!! I can’t travel until after July 9! Will there be one next year?
I couldn’t find the mango festival information on the website that you posted.
My mango tree put out a good crop last year, this year there are only 4 mangos on the tree. What do you think is going on? Thanks, from the Florida Keys
most people are not having a good year this year
If mango season is late this year, what varieties would be available at the middle to the end of June?
The tasting admission tickets are already sold out?!
Yes, but there are still tickets the access the rest of the festival. Its well worth going to independent of the tasting event
Hey there Paul and Alex! I’m gonna try and come to this event! I’m up in Gainesville, Florida and have never even tried a single mango. If I do make it, I’ll definitely partake in the taste testing and hopefully be able to purchase my first mango tree? I’m thinking about Pickering since I am in North Central Florida. What do y’all think? Would it be worth growing a Pickering in my area? I live next to a very large lake that keeps temps up a good five degrees during the winter compared to areas around me. Very rarely freezes. Thanks guys!
Let me know when and how I can sign up for some tickets to the event. I’m ready!
We would suggest growing the tree in a pot and taking indoors during the freezes. Remember that the online tickets that are going to be in Eventbrite are the ones that include the tasting event, although it’s very likely there will be vendors selling mangos that day including us.
@@jacobwhite953tickets are now available on Eventbrite
Sorry I didn't see link for tickets
They haven’t been posted yet but will be soon on Eventbrite and we’ll all post updates once they’re available
Where is the volunteer link??
click on the event link it should be there if you can't find it let me know
Can you grows small mango tree inside the house 🏠 since I live in rode island.
Will be able to buy boxes of mangoes?
There will definitely be farms selling their mangos. Whether they sell them by the box, piece or pound will be up to them. We usually sell by the pound for example
I am down where do I sign up?
Eventbrite shows all tasting tickets sold out?
Yes they sold out very quickly, in about 1 day. People can still access the rest of the festival with regular admission tickets to the Mounts though
How many varieties can we taste?
Looks like it is already sold out... that's too bad... we had seven of us that wanted to come do the tasting. Maybe next year.
Still come and join us. Vendors will have tastings at their tables. You can come and pay at the door
Oh? The ticket website made it look like even general admission was sold out. We'd still come if at the door admission was still open.
Is the mango festival already sold out?! I just bought my plane tickets from Boston and now I don’t see a way to buy a ticket to the event.
There are still tickets that don’t include the tasting available actually and even if they sell out you can still attend by buying Mounts garden admission tickets the day of.
Okay thanks. Any chance Mounts will add more tasting tickets?
@@ranubounfortunately no, limited by capacity
When are the tickets going to be available?
They should be available beginning this week on Eventbrite. You can contact Palm Beach County UF/IFAS Extension office if you don’t see a link available soon.
@TropicalAcresFarms Thankyou Alex.
Will we be able to buy mangoes ?
@@lukec8596yes
No more tasting tickets? :(
How do you know that mango season is a month later this year?
Because the fruit is not ripe yet
How much is the ticket price?
$20+ tax for the tickets with tasting, $15 without
How do I volunteer? Im retired City of Miami Firefighter/paramedic and I've volunteered at Truly Tropical picking mangos with Har.
Just a bit too far to drive over. Online would be great.
Looks like everything is sold out 😅😂
Is this event FREE?
