    I was really surprised to see so many trees of the same variety. Is that to sell at the farm, rather than personal consumption? I mean, how many Pickering or Angie mangos could one person eat?

    • @TropicalAcresFarms
      @TropicalAcresFarms Рік тому +2

      We forgot to show two other varieties: Phoenix on dwarfing stock and a Seacrest/Triplesec. There’s also a Fairchild #2 canistel. In total the yard has 17 different kinds of mangos in it currently.
      Yes those Pickering and Angie were planted temporarily for that purpose along with for budwood. The temporary spaces need to produce quickly to make the most efficient use of the space which is one of the reason those varieties were chosen given their natural precocity.

    What means that tree is temporary?

    • @TropicalAcresFarms
      @TropicalAcresFarms Рік тому +1

      It means that the tree is planted with the intention of removing it after a period of time (usually 5 to 6 years) to maximize use of space and increase yield on the square footage of yard space being utilized. Once the trees have grown into one another, the temporary trees are extracted to make appropriate space for the permanent trees.

So I suggest don't waste your time going the place. The price is still the same with other mango farm $6/ lb. I prefer going to mango place farm , truly tropical you tube.
