@@brandonsn5393 if you don't like the vertical mount then don't buy this. Personally, this case and the vertical mount looks pretty cool. OK, if someone considers themselves an audiophile in any way, I can guarantee that they aren't using a sound card. Who the hell uses a sound card these days anyways?
I was just thinking this same thing. I work with music and audio daily and I know no one in the scene who would actually care; as a matter of fact my pc doesn’t even HAVE a sound card inside, lol. It’s all external hardware.
And also these so told "audiophiles" don't even want to use already built in great audio Also who told you you cant just cut off slightly of your pcie card? I mean a lot of them are already fitting under the half height
Why put the DAC inside the PC where all the interference is when you can have a standalone DAC on your desk. Purists will use optical toslink/spdif for input but I think USB is just fine. Also, motherboard audio is definitely getting better, but a standalone DAC placed somewhere away from all the interference will always be better.

@@mariodroid7 dumb? Because I choose this model for that reason, I don’t need more pcie slots, once again, if you need more connectivity choose something else, this model is just like that 🙄

My graphics card is mounted vertically, but that's because the motherboard is mounted horizontally. I quite like this design. It means that I never have to worry about GPU sag, and because the PC is wider than it is tall, there's no worry of accidentally knocking it over.

Given the size of GPUs these days (4 slot is quite common) and the number of add in cards that support half height mounting, you can actually have way more devices installed than a typical case. You also don't have to bend your PCIe power cables tightly against the side glass. The only actual downside is the potential need to replace the riser with a gen 5 version eventually.
I have a red hyte y40, with a strix 4090, 12900k/white strix z690-A mobo, 32gb Trident Z 4000mts CL15, and custom sleeved red cables. So it's like a red, white and black build except for the little bit of blue in the middle of the strix card. Deepcool LS720 360mm aio, the strix card has like mirror pieces on it and so does the aio and motherboard and also have two 140mm white lian li uni infinities for intake and then on my aio I have 3 black uni infinities and then just a 140mm nzxt black fan below the psu shroud
Now we have the montech sky two, which is looking simmilar to the y40 but you can mount your GPU horizontally aswell, also the case have 4 included argb fans
The only problem two problems with this case is the lack of dust filter mesh in the back if you vertical mount the gpu there is a large whole in the back with no mesh where dust or bugs can easily enter the case also once the gpu is mounted you can’t easily add more NVME if you gpu is to large or long so if you plan to add extra NVME storage do it before you install it .

if you’re on a budget then the hyte y40 is for you, but for maximum airflow and the best room for your pc go with the hute y60. i easily fit a 4090 and about 8 fans in this case. my temps don’t get above 58c with a hyte y60
For me at least I’m not using a lot of add in cards so it’d work fine for me but I’ve been kinda leaning toward the matx cases with the board prices these days and the form factor is just easier to deal with
My buddy had a 3080 in his Y60, was concerned about temps he was getting. His options were to buy a new case, or an AIO GPU. He loved the case so much he bought a AIO 4090 LMAO
I have the Hyte Y40, and I’m sitting with a RTX 3060ti Founders Edition. I mean, it’s not exactly an “aesthetic beast”, but it fits well within the case, and it’s not a massive card either. It’s not perfect, but I love it all the same ☺️
People should get onboard with PIO motherboards. Imagine a Sega CD addon, except the motherboard is the Sega and your videocard slides in sideways. Then you have all the slots on the motherboard free and room for 10 slot wide coolers or tower style coolers on your GPU. It is a standard in China for ITX size motherboards, I even have a Gigabyte one. But if you did it for a Micro ATX style you would have 4 full slots of expansion beside the x16 slot which would not block any of those slots. Existing cases can be adapted fairly simply if they have the open expansion slot area. Just a GPU holder in the old IO cutout and 4-6 new holes for motherboard standoffs. Just need to get those motherboards, I had to use Superbuy to get mine off of TaoBao, but wish it was more mainstream. (You can use a riser that wraps under an ITX motherboard and get the videocard up in that area if you like for almost the same visual affect, but not the same utility as having 4 more slots free below)
It's only going to affect really the capture card people. Anyone that's an audiophile knows an external sound card is actually better and more useful anyway. They also have external capture cards that work fine anyway as well depending on the usage.

I don’t think any real audiophile uses a sound card. Sound cards are internal DACs and electrical noise inside of your PC will cause distortion, so you’d instead see an external, actual DAC as well as an AMP and whatever it’s outputting to.
It’s simple ppl who need that extra space shouldn’t buy that case you don’t see people going crazy when most cases don’t have 3 slot vertical mounts for 40 series cards they just need to get a diff case
Most quality content creators have a streaming pc, so capture cards are not an issue. Also who uses soundboards instead of dacs? I like this shift in design imho.
Not sure what audiophile is buying sound cards these days when they're probably getting a really good DAC and I wouldn't be using this for my capture PC honestly for a streaming setup, however this could limit your selection of USB controller cards or M.2 converter cards. I was also wondering if it might limit SAS HBA or 10gig network cards but most of those are already low profile because you're typically putting them in a 2U rack mount case.
