Hi Dexxter, loved your videos - been rekordbox user for years on 5 but at moment changing to 6 - fast iMac 3 years old - it says 1 hour for 10,000 tracks - I have around 64,000 it is now Thursday at 11pm it has been converting the library since Tuesday at 8pm and the progress bar is 1 third along the way !! Any ideas ?

Hey Dexter, I’m currently in the process of buying a laptop for music production. After watching your video on best laptops 2020 for music production I was under the impression that i7 was the safer option to go with, as AMD can have plugin issues. After doing some research I’ve found most people back AMD7 over intel, but I’m still unsure. Could you perhaps elaborate with the problem of AMD or give me some further insight so I can decide. Would be very grateful!

So you are saying if I transfer from 5 to 6 I will have to re-analyse all my tracks? I have worked hours on analysing them and creating cue points etc. Does it not convert that to the new format? this is a deal breaker
yes, it does ... but you need to re-analyze for the new features like vocal detection
hello! i had a quick question. Im not sure if you have already answered this before. I am getting into DJing. Mostly because i find it very fun to learn and i love music. i am purchasing the Pioneer DDJ-400 2-Channel . I know it comes with rekordbox software but most of my music is on spotify. Is there an easy way to somehow get my playlist from spotify and be able to use it on rekordbox??
no there isn;t, not with spotify at least.
But they connect with other streaming services in RB itself, but you can't copy them to usb

RB6 is free, no key needed. unless you want cloud stuff

I need help I updated to 6 but I wanted to get back to 5. I deleted both and installed 5 again but 6 keeps showing up.i dont want 6 but I doesn't let me get rid of it
apparently you dind't delete it.
Empty your trash too, or drag the icon to the trash too
One question: So I have 780 tracks, do I need to click on them one by one so the question mark would disappear?
uhh, probably. Maybe you can select multiple???

your music will be fine, but your RB library won't.
In 6 is a new lib version, so going in back is really hard, unless you want to start over

Precies hierom ben ik overgestapt op Denon, dit is stap 1 van Pioneer om Rekordbox een betaalde dienst te laten worden. Engine Prime is veruit niet zo goed als Rekordbox maar geduld is een schone zaak. Denon herkent en converteerde alle Rekordbox files on the go, iets wat Pioneer zelf niet kan met iets anders dan Rekordbox geanalyseerde files.
wat bedoel je met "herkent rekordbox bestanden onthego?".
Bedoel je dat het de RB library leest of bedoel je muziekbestanden?
Dexxter Clark De library, dus ook gemaakte playlists en cue points, alleen de waveform moet even renderen a 5-10 seconden per track. Eenmaal gerenderd onthoud het apparaat alles, best impressive!
I have uninstalled Rekordbox 6. Still a lot of work to me done. Freezing, Crash, Lagging. Am back to 5.8.5 till the problem is fix. Also take forever to load, for now hands 👇
I also advise to wait a bit so pioneer has the opportunity to fix the first bugs
