i dont know if this help but i saw a recorded video from one of their transatlantic tour. it was from nashville their last one. so before they started singing the duet jon said they were going to paris together (dodie and jon) but something came up with dodie so she couldnt come. :) and then there is this opinion i saw about the meaning behind the songs. jon being "im so lonely why didnt you come with me?" and dodie's "i dont want to come because i dont want to fall and not have things progress between us" something like that. :D

I can’t believe that there will come a time that this song would hit me in a different level. I first listened to this song when I was 17, and loved it for matching Jon’s song. However, I passed by it again now that I’m 21, in the middle of a long term relationship with a partner admitting that he’s fallen out of love. Every single lyric hit me, especially the part “how dare you trust fate, she’s not that kind.” I hated myself for thinking that everything is way too predestined for it not to end happily. I wish I was just a little bit more mature to think that not all relationships have an ideal outcome. I swear, her lyrics just pierced right through me in such a painful time, like a wake up call.

This is so great to analyse- the way she sings "just a memory" sounds almost like she is smiling through tears, wistful, kidding herself, and "now" sounds like she is giving in to her tears and letting it all out. You can just picture her in her room, throwing cushions and all in the last verse, too. I cry at this song every time, Dodie's song writing is so intelligent and thought through to pull out the viewer's feelings effectively. I adore her

(PS, the G#M7 is debated by tons of people, this is what I firmly believe it is based on sound and hand placement. It's basically a G chord but starting on fret 3 and excluding the G string. The Cdim is a flipped G chord on the 2nd fret (w/ 1st finger on A string and 2nd fret, and the 2nd & 3rd finger on the 3rd fret and the C and E string)- soprano uke) (also I used the ukebuddy chord namer to find a few of these - so if the name of it is weird or something check that site)

I can not step thinking about the change in the lyrics from "now look at what you've done" to "now look at what we've done". The whole song reads like she's telling Jon to let go of some girl, the "she" in the line "she's not that kind", and just try to enjoy his holiday without her. But that second to last line! Why does she include herself at the end? I can't stop thinking about these lyrics. But I'm also obsessed musically with both of these songs, they are brilliant.
