@VirtualHolocaust if you are a wargamer and trying to go skirmish level and avoid GW as well, Infinity is your jam. Been playing that for over a decade and it's great. But man battletech is awesome for long play and rpg stuff too.
@@williamenglish565 im mostly in to it with mech warrior online and the lore. But yeah im not going to buy the new 40k video game. Sure its no like super woke or whatever. But i find it hard to believe that titus just happened to have a kil team with exactly 1 asian 1 blaq guy. They are just doing the soft representation thing. really cringe. Mainly because i cant buy that because of cannon. People act like the age of strife didnt turn people into monsters. Fairly sure racism would have been on the menu. So what there is a asian planet? Its like that chinese guy in that new starwars goyslop. Why is there only one guy in the entire history of starwars. There is a guy that has such thick accent what he cant speak basic? Even admiral akbar didnt have a accent as thick as oatmeal.
@@williamenglish565 is it clled infinity mechs? Or whats the name of it? Does it have a ton of lore? I love me some lore. Or is it more liek a pathfinder type game where its more open?
So, a bunch of stuff for battle armor (like fuel for jump jets, ammo for weapons like the APGR, number of shots the battery can provide) are abstracted in regular Total Warfare rules. They do, however, come into play if you're running RPG rules like ATOW (A Time of War) or MechWarrior.
The Zgok and Elemental similarity makes more sense when you think about how it was a diving suit first Only do many ways to make a man shaped submarine after all
I tell them this all the time, and they think i am gatekeeping 40k, but in reality i am trying to introduce them to a wargame that won't bankrupt you.
lol bro no way i would ever pay GW 100 for some plastic. i like the lore tho!
@@VirtualHolocaust battle tech is metal, so is harpoon. The question is how much room you have to play.
@@naughtyhieroglyph669 i dunno what harpoon is but i play mech warrior online. i know im a bit of a tourist.
As long as you ignore Catalyst, Battletech is so rad.
dude i just got into mechwarrior again cause of a channel called science insanity.

Catalyst is doing great with battletech, idk what you're on about man

I, for one, welcome our new Elemental Mommy Overlords
So real bro. I wanna die by snu snu.
LETS GOOOOO ELEMENTALS
LETS FUCKING GO!
I need me a big 2 meter tall elemental mommy to bake me cookies and bring them to me on a glass plate with a tall glass of milk.
I maintain that the most terrifying weapon an Elemental can carry is the Heavy Battle Claw
This is good. I'm staying for more more
same.

I love using Elementals. If nothing else, they make it bloody *possible* to have Clan Vs IS games that aren't ridiculous initiative games.

I never jumped ship, battletech always, 40k is good up until the year 2005
Battletech is still amazing, what do you not like about modern battletech?
