- What is Kurtsystems?
Kurtsystems is a PRE-TRAINING SYSTEM that prepares young horses for training and strengthens their musculoskeletal system.
Kurtsystems, at Kingwood Stud in Lambourn, is a revolutionary new process designed to aid the pre-training of young racehorses before they enter a traditional race-training regime. It introduces young horses to a pre-training programme without the threat of human error, in a closely monitored and controlled environment; a process that directly contrasts with the experience that many young racehorses face in their early period of training.

At first, being a fellow horse racing fan, I thought this was just abuse. But now as I see it in action, I see that they have way less carts moving than planned in the “blueprints” and there are also people watching them Incase something goes wrong. Also this can prevent the horse from falling furthering an injury. This is also the same case if a rider was in the horse. Now as I see it in action, I understand this might be just as good, or even better, than regular conditioning
PowerOf One I agree that the racing industry starts their horses too young, but once a horse is 3 years old their bones are developed enough to least likely get buck shins. You need to start them early so they are putting pressure on the bones. If they don’t when they race later without previous experience to that “high speed pressure” they will hurt themself. One year doesn’t seem like much but that is the year Thoroughbreds grow the most(3-4 years old). The racing industry is about money, whether we like it or not, and time is money. They want their horses out racing early to gain experience, run in the Kentucky Derby, etc. Racing young horses will never change, but not training/racing them until 3 might. You can say all you want about the racing industry and how it will get banned but it will never go away. So because of this, fight for horse racing reform instead. In my opinion this machine is a great step to that, when it comes to training younger horses or not. The government would have never passed this product if they didn’t think it was safe to horses. I don't see how you can train properly, every horse has different needs, speed, way of going etc. How will you know your horses quirks without riding them?
This isn't the actual training, this is pre training, getting them strong enough to carry a rider

Actually much more human that putting a fully grown man on a barely 2 year old horse to run them.
@@Polopony20. Just because something is less cruel, it doesn't make it right. I mean, slapping a dog might be less cruel than cutting their paw off, but it's not humane either. And using these horses just for the entertainment of some ignorant people is not okay in any scenario. This "sport" is using sentient beings like they are machines, and they are exchanged as soon as their bodies fail. Nothing humane about that.
