I know this sounds silly, but your story at the end made me tear up. I struggle with a anxiety disorder myself, and it was kinda nice to hear someone doing well who has one too. I'm getting married in a couple of years and I have a huge fear of anything with crowds or rooms full of people (it actually makes me more anxious when I know who people are that are watching me), so I just wanna say thank you for making me feel a little bit stronger.
At the very least your fiancee will be there to hold your hand through it x we can always elope x

No its not silly believing that Absol is watching over you. Actually, I do understand how you feel.
My first ever pokemon game was Pokemon Diamond. And my first starter was Piplup. It seemed like ever since I chose Piplup, I've grown more and more attached to it. When it evolved into Empoleon, we were practically an unstoppable force. I loved Empoleon. I felt as if he protected me from any force. And that we formed an inseparable bond. I took him everywhere with me. From Pokemon Diamond. To Heartgold. To Platinum. To Black. To Pokemon X. He was always on my team. And now when I get Alpha Sapphire, he'll join me to defeat Team Aqua!
I had that with my Yveltal. When I got him, I nicknamed him Hellheim and had so much fun. When I had got him, in real life I was alone. But Hellheim was more than that during that time. He was(and still is) a friend. A friend that I will cherish forever.
I always thought of Absol as a sort of guardian angel. Now she certainly looks like on with her Mega Evo.

My 5 favorite Pokemon are(Get ready for dem backstories)
5-Oshawott. I love Oshawott SO MUCH. He was my first starter, and I had him throughout the game and evolved him into a Samurott. I've always had a connection with that lil' guy.
4-Luxray. I love cats. I love electricity. I love bad-assery. I FUCKING LOVE LUXRAY. COME ON MAN, YOU CANNOT SAY YOU HATE LUXRAY!
3-Lucario. I have ALWAYS loved Lucario. I love dogs so much, and it just looks awesome. I actually had the luck of encountering one on Flocessey Ranch, and named her(Yes, her, DOUBLE RARENESS!) Camillia. She stayed with me throughout the entire game and kicked ass.
2-Absol. I looooove Absol so. MUCH. It looks like awesome and cuteness had a baby or something. That bad-ass horn, the sharp claws, the serious red eyes...AND OMG DAT CHEST FUR GBHESIUHKGSHBVDRSBF
1-Darkrai. I cannot explain how much I love Darkrai. It just looks SO COOL! I have always been interested in mythology and stories, mostly ghosts. Darkrai is SOOOO COOOOL! But it's role in the movie as GOOD? Nope. Nopenopenope.

I know what you mean about fear of natural disasters... i have a phobia of dying, and natural disasters, mostly dying though, READ THIS STORY::: it happened just today, i was having fun, role playing Pokemon with my friends on the laptop and listening to music.. when it happened.. A tornado Warning, the wind was howling and tree's were falling down, i remember hiding in the bathroom since we don't have a basement or a seller, not yet anyways, after how scared i was i may dig out my own seller... Anyways, I was so scared, shaking to death, (I'm about to be 14 year's old) and i remember there was a sound that sounded like a train beating on our house, i was terrified.. and to be honest it only happened like.. maybe 30 minutes ago, i'm still shaking and shocked.. Then i remembered how i'm not the only one with the fear of death, or natural disasters, a few minutes passed and the lights were blinking on and off, And were still not in the clear yet.. Tornado watch is on now and also thunderstorm warning which is not that bad.. anyways, .. it happened all so fast, but slow.. Anyways. At least i know someone's out there who loves pokemon and has a fear like mine. Thanks Tamashii. :) Sorry about spelling errors, my hands are still a little shaky.
Literally everyone has a fear of death my pengyou, and Tamashii is not as special as you would like to think with her fear of natural disasters and anxiety disorder. Again dying is a fear almost everyone in the world has and you're not a special snowflake.

Once I was six and there was a Tornado Warning, my Nana was standing outside and I was terrified. we don't have a cellar or any sort of underground rooms. When I was six, I belived video game caricters were real (and yeah I'm not the best speller.) When I read about Absol and had one on my team, I fell in love. absol could predict Natural Disasters . I read about a Chinese Comic about the hero girl (person) who could predict disasters (I was little still when I looked it up, if anything is wrong, blame mini-me) in one comic, she got white wings, when Mega Absol had wings, I loved it more.

Wow Tamashii you left me speechless about your Absol's story, I mean it it really moved me almost to the point of tears and I also suffer from a sort of anxiety disorder(combined with some diagnosed clinical depression) so I know how some things you get attached to can help you overcome a fit, not gonna enter in too many specifics, but my dog is pretty much the only thing keeping me from having fits and knowing he's a part of my life inspires me to keep pushing forward kind of like you and your Absol
***** It's moreso fact though. In battle both Lucario and Mega Lucario have a higher defense, special attack, special defense, speed, and combined stat total. On top of that, Lucario and Riolu are incredibly rare in the games, making them a much more valuable asset to a team. If that's not enough, Lucario got it's own movie in the anime WHERE IT COULD FUCKING SPEAK ENGLISH! LUCARIO IS LIKE A LITTLE BLUE MEWTWO THAT KNOWS YOUR EVERY MOVE BECAUSE IT CAN READ YOUR AURA. THIS GUY CAN BEAT YOUR ASS UP, DOWN, AND THROUGH THE FOURTH DIMENSION. THIS SHIT IS THE STUFF OF NIGHTMARES. ABSOL CAN TELL ME IF IT'S RAINING. WHOOPTY FUCKING DO. AT LEAST I WON'T GET WET. NO. FUCK THAT. LUCARIO (AKA ASSKICKER MCGEE) FTW.

I agree with you, man. If people really think that Pokemon can make them feel better, then props to them. I mean, it is a game, yeah, but isn't that what games are supposed to DO, make people feel better in some way? As long as a game can do that to even one person, then it (and everyone involved in it, whether they are real or in game characters) have done its job.
Also, thanks for sticking up for Tamashii. It takes courage to do that, and not a lot of people have that. So thank you.

This was one of the first videos I've ever seen of Tamashi. How she talked about Absol and her Anxiety was so amazing and heart-felt that I, admittedly, did tear up a bit because she put something like that into such an amazing perspective. Young lady, you've earned my subscribe.

That story about the Absol and the anxiety...I can relate to that, and it truly brought a tear to my eye. I'm very glad I'm saving up for a 3DS, and really glad I watch Tamashii's videos. I swear, this video turned my day around- not in a bad way, of course.

My favourite pokemon include Lucario, Mewtwo and Blastoise. Of the new XY generation, honestly..... my favourite starter is Fennekin and his other evolutions Braixen and Delphox. I do have a weakness for fox type things. Don't get me wrong, Froakie and Chespin are great too but when I saw Fennekin I fell in love with him and is my favourite fire type. I also love how the three starters are meant to represent, a knight (Chespin) a ninja (Froakie) and a mage (Fennekin) that was cool, I went for the mage because of my childhood love for Harry Potter. Some people may disagree with me and only focus on the pokemon who seem the most strongest or whose going to win every battle, but I prefer pokemon I instantly feel affection for. Squirtle was my favourite old starter, I saw Lucario and Mewtwo in the anime and have loved them from childhood too.

That story with Absol... You... you convinced me to raise one, even over a Sneasel... I mean, that was just beautiful. That said, may Absol and you overcome many challenges (hopefully including your anxiety.)
It also just looks beautiful, with it's awesome horn and mystic look, along with it's lore on how it warns people and other pokemon of danger. And it's mega evolution gives it beautiful wings! What's not to love about
Absol?
Well, I mean... I loved it, but Sneasel/Weavile has been my favorite dark type since... well, since they each came out. Sadly, this is mainly due to my love of puns, in which I'd name my Weavile "Evile"... So yeah, with a pathetic reason like that, it's not hard to win me over to another side. I'm going all Absol up in my new X version. :D

The Mega Absol part made me cry because I can relate to it so much.
My top 5 favorite Pokemon are:
Diancie: I just love Diancie's design, plus as a little kid, I loved to collect shiny objects, such as rocks, bits of metal, and even shards of glass.
Chespin:Was originally my least favorite of the starters, but I chose it, and it grew on me. :3
Pumpkaboo: It's an adorable pumpkin. Need I say more?
Dragagalge: Was my first Kalos shiny, and saved my ass battling the Elite 4.
Yveltal: PREPARE FOR A BACKSTORY!
When I was younger, my greatest fear was dying. I had nightmares about drowning and other methods of death. However, I remember reading numerous books, where the charicter would say that death is unavoidable, that you have to accept that you will eventually die, and if a loved one died, they would wish for you to live a good life, not just end it in one second due to grief. Eventually, this led to me overcoming my fear, and taking a loved ones death much better than most of the family, as I had learned to accept it and move on. When I would play with Yveltal on Pokemon Amie, I was always happy, scratching his tummy and playing the expession mini game with the camera. Subsequently, it led to Yveltal being my favorite Pokemon. c:

hey, i deal with anxiety as well, some cases are more severe than others,like my worst(and weirdest) anxiety: fire drills at school, after over a decade of going through them, while having extremely sensitive hearing, eventually started to get anxiety attacks so bad because of it, i wouldn't be able to focus for hours, and sometimes i even got sick. and don't worry, i have anxieties about natural disasters too, but i live with 4 easygoing cats, and as long as they aren't panicking, i know im fine

well my fav from gen 6 and my number 1 is Talonflame. I do not do competitive. It purely is i love birds, mostly birds of prey, falcons and hawks especially. When i saw fletchinder before getting the game i decided i'd catch a fletchling. It took me half an hour to find one but i did. Little did i know this fletchling was adamant and stayed with me to the league. My talonflame is my first ever lvl 100 pokemon and my little mama bird for when i need to hatch some eggs (despite being male and adamant) I also love my tyrantrum who i got from wonder trade as a tyrunt. He kicks some ass but he's gentle, which i joke about cus tyrantrum (cus is intentional)

That mega Absol reason made my day. I too struggle with anxiety disorder, and hearing that someone takes comfort in a franchise I also love to cope is heartening.
Tamashii, your absol relationship is the same as mine with Gengar. I feel like the antagonists of stories and games are always so cool and collected. While my anxiety was never as bad as yours, I still had some, and using the antagonists calm personatlity as a role model, it helped a little. :D So I do know how you feel.
I am with you completely! I've always had anxiety problems my whole life, and as soon as I saw that episode in hohen with the Absol, it has been my guardian. When I learned it was getting a mega with wings, I was ecstatic!
The feels. THE FEELS. Plus, to me Absol has always been a cool Pokemon (its color+design, as well as it being my favorite type: the Dark-type) and it definitely received a much-deserved addition with its Mega Form, which kinda gives it the whole Guardian Angel connotation it has carried all along (please view Jirachi Wishmaker). So it's really cool that it has such an important meaning to you.

One of my favorite new pokemon of the X and Y is Espurr. It just looks so freaku with those wide eyes, and dont forget about the yellow things under its ears.
I know how you feel, X is actually the first pokemon game I've ever played. I was so happy to begin my first journey. When I caught my Pikachu early on in the game, I was so happy and I thought he would be by my side through the whole game. Unfortunately, he didn't. But once I completed the game I was so happy, because I could once again battle with him, and it didn't matter how strong he is. As of right now, he's my most loyal pokemon, and I hope to transfer him to later games.

Helioptile was my very first wild encounter shiny ever, and I have played since gen 1. In that sense, it was very special to me. I agree that dry skin combined with thunder and surf make him an awesome team member for my regional team I made for the play through of the story! You rock tamashii!
Avalugg for sure. A lot of people dislike it, but I see it as cleverly designed and really great at what it does. It's a brilliant switch in for any physical attack coming your way and a fair lead with curse for physical attackers and mirror coat + sturdy for the special attackers for an instant KO. I'm sure now I'll almost never make a team without it.
Avalugg is a defensive tank! I really like the guy. After all, bergmite is just the tip of the iceberg

That absol story is really touching; as many of ur stories are. Some of my fav Kalos Pokémon are the Froakie line, Hawlucha, Noivern, Yveltal, Pyroar, Talonflame, and Tyrantrum; just to name a few! 🙂✌🏽
I won't lie. When I saw Frokie's first form, I was immediatly put off. But as I played and my rival got it evolved to it's last form and I saw it was a RPG Ninja Class reference, I said to myself "This fucker becomes a ninja!? I want a fucking ninja in my team now!"

I feel ya. It old myself I wanted a fennikin. And I chose A fennikin. And I had to restart and choose a froakie because it was that fucking cool.
Mega Absol is also my fav Mega, but that is because he has a kinda Angel of Death look to him. He also came off to me as that one awkward kid at school that everyone picked on, which was what I was. He also came off to me as the Sibling to a hell hound (Houndoom), which with my evil little sister, I also could relate to.
Came for Pokemon. Left with feels.
My top 10:
10. Malamar. Topsy-Turvy means you can't Swords Dance me anymore, I get an attack boost every time I use Superpower, because of its ability Contrary. Seriously fun and funny to use.
9. Xerneas. Pretty much for the same reasons you gave Tamashii. I also like Yveltal too, but I prefer Xerneas' typing.
8. Diggersby. Want to use Aegislash on me? Well, no longer. I still think he should have been called Thugs Bunny. Oh well, missed opportunity.
7. Klefki. Pretty much for the same reasons. Dual screens, spikes, inflict statuses. Definitely a useful Pokemon
6. Sylveon. One of the best wallers ever, with Heal Bell, Double-Edge, and Wish, it walls a lot of sweepers. Hits hard too! Plus it's freaking adorable!
5. Trevenant. Mainly because I like his concept, just started using him and I'm not quite sure yet on how to use him in competition.
4. Tyrantrum. Hits hard. Also his pre evolution is adorable. I'm also a big paleontology nut (actually, a nut on all sciences) so that means I adore dinosaurs! And who doesn't want a dinosaur on their team?
3. Mega-Charizard Y and X. THIS. THIS is what Charizard needed. He is a great Pokemon, but his abilities in battle were lackluster because of his obvious weakness to Stealth Rock. While Megazard Y still has a Stealth Rock weakness, he gains an amazing ability called Drought, boosting his firepower (lol PUN) to insane levels. Megazard X gets a mention because it changes his typing from Fire/Flying to Fire/Dragon. Consequently this also means Stealth Rock is no longer a major issue for him. Plus, he gets Dragon Dance too so what's not to love?
2. Aegislash. Such a great Pokemon to use competitively. Amazing defense and packs a decent punch plus a great defensive typing. One of the best mixed sweepers.
1. Tie between Talonflame and Greninja. Mostly because these things are true terrors to behold. With Gale Wings, Talonflame gets priority on all flying moves, and since he gets Roost, Swords Dance and Brave Bird, he literally destroys anything in his path. With Protean, Greninja gets some of the best coverage ever both offensively and defensively as well as getting the benefits from the moves too. Laugh as you flatten Ferrothorn with Hidden Power (Fire) as well as not taking typical damage from him. Shrug off a Thunderbolt by using Grass Knot on an electric type. Laugh at Haxorus trying to flatten you by using Ice Beam and taking him out. The possibilities are limitless.
Glad to see I'm not the only person who refers to #3 as Megazard.
Absol is personally one of my favorite pokemon. I have one on my Y team. I named her Cassandra, because like the figure in Greek mythology, Absol can predict the future. Also Cassandra's story ended tragically, kind of like poor misunderstood Absol.

Your story about Absol is so touching. I love so many 6th gen. Pokemon, but the ones I love the most are Litleo, Delphox, Talonflame, Helioptile, Gourgeist, Sliggoo, Florges, Tyrantrum, Meowstic, and Dedenne. Litleo maybe my favorite simply because I'm a sucker for lion cubs
Wow, the reason you picked Absol to be number one in your list is so adorable. I really hope you overcome your anxiety problems. I know it's like, I struggle with OCD and take medication for it. The fact that you chose Absol for a personal reason is just awesome & admirable.

Personally I think X and Y's legendaries are the best designs since gen 3.
And does anyone else get a Princess Mononoke Forest Spirit vibe from Xerneas?
I personally think Gourgeist is really underrated. It's technically better than Trevenant both stat-wise AND movepool-wise. I also think both of their designs are equally cool. Since Ghost is super effective against Ghost, Trick-or-Treat is awesome because Gourgeist can be super effective against ANYTHING. Meanwhile, Trevenant is stuck with Forest's Curse, and as far as I know, Trevenant can't learn any Bug, Fire, Flying, or Ice type moves. Just get a Gourgeist with Phantom Force (because Gourgeist is mainly a physical attacker) and Trick-or-Treat, and down goes a lot of things.
I really liked that Mega Absol story. I myself was happy to see a real panda Pokemon in Pancham/Pangoro. (Sorry Spinda, but you're not a real panda) When I was a kid, my grandmother had a stuffed panda named Peking. I would set it on my head while she and I watched movies, thinking that putting him on my head would give him a better view. When she passed, she left Peking to me and years later, it got lost, and I haven't seen it to this day. I was torn up and incredibly sad. But I got a Pancham, named it Peking, and eventually made it a Pangoro. On my next playthrough, I'm thinking of taking Peking all the way to the League.

And, even though I haven't had the chance to play X or Y yet, my favourite right now is Delphox. I love Foxes, and Witch/Wizard/Magicians, so it's the complete package just by looks.
I too have anxiety issues, as well as ADD. When I was young, I was terrified of Thunderstorms, natural disasters and the like. Even now bad weather still sometimes scares me. Absol is one of my favorite Pokemon. It's design, it's lore, and how it looks. Aside from Absol, Vulpix is my favorite for 3 reasons. 1. It's freaking adorable. 2. It's a fox, and I love canines. and 3. Did I mention it's adorable?

I think your reasoning for umber one is spot on and I feel like I need to find a pokemon that stops depression or something. I think there is a lot out there and having only about half of the pokemon in the pokedex i am falling behind as a breeder. I have anger problems too so maybe an angry pokemon would help me out like the Hulk has done in the past showing that anger can be a true way to power if used correctly. Yaaay! Finally, somebody who likes Xerneas more than Yvetal! I personally don't like Yvetal because its design freaks me out. Don't know why, it just does. While I was a bit conflicted about what my Kalos starter should be, I finally chose Froakie because I love frogs. ^_^ Although, I think at the moment, my favorite Kalos pokémon is Flabébé. :)
I loved Mega Absol's design too. It instantly reminded me of a guardian angel - what with the warning people about disasters and whatnot.

My personal top 5 favorites from Gen. 6 (Mega Evolutions NOT included):
5. Pyroar: The Pokemon that affect me most often are ones based on actual animals. It's a simple design, but it's effective. Plus it's nice to have another Fire-type with an immunity (in this case Ghost, similar to Poison with Heatran and Electric with Camerupt).
4. Bergmite line: Bergmite and Avalugg are friggin' TANKS with their defense stats. Sure they have four major weaknesses, but at least they can take some punishment before falling over.
3. Phantump line: Grass is usually one of my least used types, but combining Grass and Ghost types was a godsend. I love the macabre, and we get a stump possessed by the soul of a dead child who was lost in the woods that evolves into a literal guardian of the woodlands. Being pagan, a spiritualist and an environmentalist, what better could a guy like me ask for in reintroducing me to the Grass party member?
2. Froakie line: Yes, even I fell for the frog's appeal: good Hidden Ability, very versatile move set and TM learning range. Also my first starter that turned out female for once.

I think Sylveon is my favourite Pokemon of this generation, my favourite Eeveelution and possibly even my favourite Pokemon ever, not only is it pretty cute but I love it's special defensive stat and that it's fairly unique in how to evolve it.
