Porygon2ning Back in gen 5 i had a nasty little metagross/porygon2 combo on a mainly psychic team that worked so successfully due to Porygon2, holding Eviolite. That thing was a TANK. Took hits like nothing and had Recover, added Trick Room so it could go first and I pretty much demolished anyone underprepared lol

Same for me in Gen 5 in my White Version. I had a Triple Battle with a trainer from Japan named カズキ(Kazuki) in December of 2011. His team consisted of Tyranitar, Cresselia, Scizor, Infernape, Bronzong, and Excadrill. My team consisted of Bronzong, Swampert, Musharna, Porygon2, Ursaring, and Hydreigon. My goal was to set up Trick Room and my opponent's was to set up sandstorm. We both succeded. From there, it became a death match. Each turn, one Pokémon fell after the other on both sides. It got to the point where my Porygon2 and my oppenent's Bronzong were the last Pokémon standing for each side, even the Auto Center feature for Triple Battles activated. It's when the last Pokémon on each side are too far apart from each other that they're both moved to the center. His Bronzong previously had set up a Calm Mind. My Porygon2 was doing its best to chip away at Bronzong's HP with little to no success. Bronzong set up one more Calm Mind and my Porygon2 used Recover. Then Bronzong was doing a good amount with Flash Cannon. It got the point where Porygon2 was taking heavy damage and with the Sandstorm active. I knew I couldn't win. Even so, I decided to have my Porygon2 use Ice Beam on Bronzong. It was better than forfeiting the battle (or turning off the power for that matter). The least I could do was give a lasting impressing that I wasn't a quitter. The Ice Beam landed a critical but the Bronzong remained standing with about 3 HP left. Then a miracle happened. "The foe's ドータクン is frozen solid". I couldn't believe what I was seeing! My Porygon2 was on the verge of losing and now it had a chance to turn things around! On the next turn, Porygon2 finished off Bronzong with Thunderbolt and won the battle! I recorded that video on my VS Seeker and I still have to this day!
Sorry for the long story, but it's one that I wanted to share. After this battle, I made Porygon2 my ace! I also thank that Eviolite for making that win possible. Best thing to ever happen to Porygon2!

Yeah, me and my friends raised single type teams allowing only one wild card of any type as long as it had one move of the team's type. mine was psychic and porygon2 was my ace with one psychic move. I jump started with metagross and killed his bisharp, then jumped into porygon2 who had signal beam, mind you he was using a dark team. Trick Room made me go first and Tri Attack did a lot to help, with the chance t paralyze, freeze or burn, and i basically swept him out with 2, lol! Then another guy i know who has used flying, fighting, and finally dragons, lost to me. He kept switchign types when I beat him, and his last type was dragon which he used abotu three times and my strat, no matter if it was singles, doubles, whatever, couldn't handle my porygon2/metagross strat, and he beat me once only in the end. It was just such a great pokemon to use. I'm glad someone explained the good of eviolite to me lol

Ah yes! Eviolite gives the defenses necessary to tank opponents, it can even withstand a few Fighting-type attacks! Combo those defences with Recover and we have a versatile Pokémon for the role of a bulky tanker! And with Trick Room, the only EVs I need to invest in are HP and Special Attack, two of Porygon2's best stats! Mine has a Special Attack stat of 339 and 374 HP at Lv. 100! Just like yours, my Porygon2 is my dragon slayer of the team. Many a dragon have fallen to the almighty rubber duck! I agree, Porygon2 is such a great Pokémon to use! lol

There are VERY few examples of 3rd Stage Pokémon that I like more than middle stage Pokémon. Personally, I just LOVE middle Pokémon! Ivysaur, Charmeleon, Wartortle, Nidorina, Clefairy, Poliwhirl, Haunter, Rhydon, Electabuzz, Bayleef, Quilava, Togetic, Flaaffy, Grovyle, Kirlia, Lairon, Roselia, Sealeo, Monferno, Luxio, Gabite, Dewott, Eelektrik, Quilladin, Braixen, Floette & Doublade are ALL examples of this (okay, that list was WAY longer than I intended it to be, but hey ho, it's not like I have anything better to do with my day ^_^)

It was the very first Pokemon that stood out to me, cause before getting Sapphire, I watched the anime a lot and Grovyle always looked cool in the advance season, and when I saw that episode with it being lovestruck with a Megainum, it completely broke my heart when it failed, and when it evolve into Sceptile to save the day, that's when it earned my upmost respect, and when I got Sapphire as my very first Pokemon game I immediately went for Treecko, and all three of them became my all time favorite Pokemon, and I'm so glad it got a Mega evolution and became a dragon, now it's even more badass!!!

I always thought it was the time of day that determined Wurmple's evolution. It makes more sense to me considering butterflies are usually diurnal and moths are usually nocturnal, and Beautifly learns Morning Sun but Dustox learns Moonlight.

I'd like vlogs, but on a separate channel. I found that channels that make quality videos and then try to add "filler" content have fairly clogged up uploads. I mean this in the way that if a person who was new to your channel wanted to see your pokemon content, he or she would have to filter through a bunch of vlogs that they might just not be ready or willing to see, resulting in discouragement when it comes to subbing or recommending. Sure you can make a playlist for the pokemon only videos, but anyone who has subbed for the pokemon content only will skip your videos on a weekly basis due to the fact they just don't want the content in a vlog. And this leads to people growing disattached to the youtuber, for example, I freak out everytime Jontron uploads a video, but I don't freak out when someone like theRPGminx uploads a video, because even though Minx uploads the occasional music video that I enjoy and it just as rare as Jontron, I'm used to seeing her videos and not always watching it. And it's not like I'm going to go to her playlists everyday in hopes of a new video. It'd probably be better to make it on a separate channel so those who are a bit more devoted than others can see what they want, and those less into your channel see only the content they want also.

I see your point, but that kind of defeats the purpose of making vloggy type videos. My goal in making them at all is to upload more frequently to this channel. I seriously don't have time to manage two channels, so it's either vlogs here or no vlogs right now. And there's always the possibility that there will be newcomers who enjoy the vloggy type videos more than my current content if I expand my horizons.

This is one thing that is so stupid with UA-cam. I don't get why UA-cam doesn't make it possible to filter content by playlists. It would remove the need for a lot of content creators to create multiple channels (Which is harder to maintain) and would make it easier to gauge an audience.
As an example, I like only a few of Grace Helbig's weekly videos so she ends up cheated out of a subscription because I have no way to compartmentalize her content. It was the same way with JWittz as well. Before he put his Lets Plays onto a different channel I didn't want to subscribe to him. But it shouldn't have been a necessity for him to make the second channel.

That "unique cry" pikachu got in gen 6 was a major let down for me because I always considered that thing of pokemon repeating it's name dumb in the anime. Even when I was 9 years old.
Now Pikachu turned in a possible threat of all pokemon speaking its own name and that definetly not cool. They should let the anime influences as far as possible to my games.

Haunter is the one pokemon I Never evolve and always keep it on my team. Hands down favorite middle stage.
Don't remember which game it was but used Haunter in a foggy area and had the bell/chime thing on it, and kept using shadow punch. So a ghost pokemon who you cant see through the mist is constantly hitting you and all you can hear is a bell chiming around you. I stayed in the area much longer than needed just cause I loved the idea of it so much.

Regarding Braixen -- considering the i comes before the x in its name, I'm pretty sure it's pronounced like "Raisin" with a B before it.
Its name is probably a pun on "Brazing", to braze, a method of welding metals together.

Y'know this whole time I've always just glanced at the name and until I saw your comment I genuinely thought it was spelled 'Braxiken' xD I did the same thing with Zygarde and called it Zygrade for a while. Damn complicated names are uncomplimentary to my laziness :(

-Wait... "Swadloon Generation 3"? I never knew there were Unova Pokémon in Pokémon Emerald, I should go hunt it for my Dex :oooo-
But that typo of Gen 5 aside, I'd have to say that my favourite Middle Evolution would be Grovyle. While I usually use Torchic as my Gen 3 starter, which, I have to admit, does evolve into such a beast of a Pokémon at the end of its evolutionary line, Grovyle just seems like an extremely stealthy and badass Pokémon. While some people argue that the Treecko Evolutionary line is one of the worst of the starters, I actually had fun using it during my very first playthrough of Pokémon Emerald. Sceptile kinda... Takes away Grovyle's stealthy look and becomes a lot, say, 'heavier', and just seems that Grovyle is more useful. What's more, there was a Grovyle in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky, which felt like a difficult antagonist that always gets away during the main storyline and knocks your Pokémon team out like it was nothing. He's portrayed as strong, hardy, quick, sophisticated, and you actually find out that he is your main Pokémon from the future before you turn into a human, and becomes one of the protagonists. What's more, you actually get to control him for a while on your own team, who I personally felt was overpowered compared to my main Pokémon, as me and my partner Pokémon were only LVL29, and he was LVL46. It's a real shame that Grovyle gets wiped out along with the rest of the Pokémon of the future... I'd actually like having him join the Wigglytuff Guild after all that.

would have to say Electabuzz and Magmar. These 2 are like eternal rivals/parallels, but i really liked that they went from being evolution-less to having a baby form and a cool evolution.

I really have to agree with you on Dragonair. I never got to sit and collect those coins in slots on Silver, but when I got SoulSilver, I actually did manage to get that Dratini. And when it evolved, I felt like I've finally found a reason to carry that Everstone around

This is a very good top ten, I basically agree with most of them. My favorite would of course be Pikachu and Braixen, I really was disappointed like you when Braixen evolved.

Yay good to see Dragonair on here. She is so graceful and beautiful. For me my favourite middle stage is Charmeleon, He is always overshadowed by his pre and fully evolved forms. He just gets forgotten. .

I was the result of my mom's garden being destroyed by them. We didn't have them until I brought a few home from my grandma's place.

Also, my favorites are Shelgon, Dragoniar (its just so majestic), but my FAVORITE by FAR is Floette. I had a hard time convincing myself to evolve it because it's just too cute.

I love every poke you mentioned too (well, Shelgon is kinda meh for me other than its abilities). What I find ironic is so many fans wanted a Psychic type fox/wolf/dog and Fire is one of the top favorite types, yet when GF makes a Fire/Psychic fox pokémon, it's considered the worst Gen 6 starter at any stage. Greninja might win the Cool Super Contest, but that doesn't mean Delphox can't be the most beautiful/clever (c wut I did ther? hurhurhur).

Haunter and Dragonair, yaaaay! Two of my favourite middle evolutions, I love the spooky look that haunter has, and that it can be used in sky battles now, and I always give one of my Dragonairs an everstone so I can keep it that way but still use it in battle. I love its amie animations too, so sweet ^u^ and the slap of the tail when it's mad at you, adorable.

I like Shelgon a lot as a middle evolution pokemon, it's hard shell looks durable and comfy, it's intimidating with its yellow glaring eyes, and with an eviolite it can live all manner of attacks and smack non-fairy pokemon around with outrage. It's been a member of my hail and sandstorm teams for some time thanks to its hidden ability overcoat, and very little makes me want to evolve it since I'd be losing its bad weather immunity and insane bulk for just a rather powerful dragon/flying type with a 4x weakness that it doesn't need.

Grovyle is hands down my favorite middle evolution. Treecko was my first ever pokemon and when it evolved I was so happy, the design just looks so cool. Also the pokemon mystery dungeon games explores of time, darkness and sky probably have something to do with my love for the pokemon.
