My mother grew up next door to Eric, born the same year and she just past away this year. This version is really hitting me hard. Thank you for sharing your emotions.☮️❤️🇨🇦
I bought this LP from the “ Cutout section “ and was amazed at how good it was, since it received almost no airplay. The cutout section was a discount section of the record store where record labels dumped unsold albums.
For some reason these 2 albums he did with this band are all but forgotten about. Check out "To Love Somebody" from the final E.B & the Animals LP "Love Is".
I loved this tune when Eric put it out in early 70’s. I think that this is a great remake of this song which has a bluesier mix than the earlier version.
I thought I heard everything from the Animals. They have been one of my favorite bands since '64. I'm going to try find it. Great version. Anther jewel from them is As the years go passing by on the Love is album.
I like the original version better. but either version it is a 'Masterpiece' This was how it was back in the 1960's so much was happening. One could not wrap your head around it.
German singer Udo Lindenberg made a collab with Eric Burdon "We get Out Of This Place". First time presented at the "Dröhnland Symphomie"-Tour 1979, when I worked for Udo as roadie. Here is a version from 2004: ua-cam.com/video/vTMIL-51ZKM/v-deo.html
in the 60's The Animals were a bit overshadowed by The Beatles, Stones , Beach Boys but have many songs that are equally enjoyable , to this day , IMO....

I've heard this song a thousand times but never this beautiful version! What a treat
Thank you !!! This lp and the "Stop" lp are his twin great works of the 1970s.
Thanks. Love this version. Ya'll have good taste.
I saw a video of Eric performing about 10 years ago. He still had it.
Yes, very Special! Thanks and Check out Tobacco Road! ❤
Wow! Just heard something new! I like it as much as the original version too!
great song either version ...the 67' version a bit more haunting and raw ...IMO
Eric was probably the best blues singer. Brought up in Newcastle which at the town was a gritty city he chanelled all the grit Ito his performances
So few views? I've loved Eric since the Animals and until you reacted to this I didn't know it existed.

The band he assembled were stand out musicians in their own right.
Dominica & Andre...just wait until you experience Eric with War "Spill the Wine"....WHOA! Its Dynamite...IMO, the very best of Mr. Burdon!
yes and ''Sky Pilot'' is a gem of its time frame .....
Yes! Thank you 😊

Excellent!!!❤❤
So impressive.
I had this album back in the day, it was not well known and had a kind of cult following. I really liked it, it even has a psychedelic favor to it.
His voice and singing style have always reminded me a little bit of Mick Jagger around the edges.
He was born in 1941 in England so his first 5 years was during WWII.

i like the animals version better but this is pretty good. different.
Hi guys did you already check out House of the Rising Sun
Yes, we know the song pretty well 💚
I recommend listening to the original version, this one looses a lot of that edge. This one seems a little contrived to me.
