Now you have seen both ends of spiritbox's range. Everything in the middle is just as good.
Fun fact: Courtney and Mike (the guitarist and also her husband) shot and edited this video themselves during quarantine.
And yeah, I love the contrast between her "heavenly" look and the growls too. Such a creepy little detail. They do this in some other videos too!
Blessed Be would be the next obvious choice (but The Mara Effect live at Silverside Sound would be the pro selection... just sayin').

Crazy for a band with no album yet to have such a wide range.
They have an EP, an a collection of singles, plus Courtney and Mike were in Iwrestledabearonce during the later stages of that band’s existence. They’ve got all kinds of depth and background.

@@dallasdavis5765 most bands aren’t doing LP’s until after they’re established now. It’s too hard to stay relevant long enough to put one out instead of just doing a single every few months.
@@bradkohl99 yup, and my pinpoint is that it’s rare that a band has such a wide range during that process. Mike and Courtney’s experience no doubt helps. That’s not the point though, the point is that I’m excited how wide they go once they start into full length.

Courtney recently did two "one take vocal" videos for this song and Rule of Nines that you may enjoy. It's awesome to see how effortlessly she does this in a studio setting.

Now that you have listen to Holy Roller you could listen to the version with Ryo Kinoshita (From Crystal Lake) and then segway into Crystal Lake if you like Ryo vocals. If you do listen to Crystal Lake I would listen to Apollo.
That sounds like a fantastic idea, the Ryo version is a step up from this in intensity if you can believe it

It's the first music video that managed to give me the creeps, and that is something most horror movies do not manage to do. Crazy to think that this was a DIY low budget covid production. People who make horror movies and games should take notes and build a creepy atmosphere, instead of hammering the viewers / players with jump scares and loud noises to shock them, or gross them out with gore.

I saw the band just a few days befor the first covid shutdown back in March when they played in Berlin. No need to say that this band was brillant on stagt. And well, they did this song which was then unreleased. In that final breakdown, she put the microphone down and yelled into the crowd, and you could still hear her even though there was this massive wall of sound and the audience. I mean, that young lady isn't that tall, even though I am not tall at all she probably reaches my nosetip. But that person can be an animal. I love this band.

Theres another version of this song with a crazy Japanese vocalist called Ryo from the band Crystal Lake and it goes even heavier twice fold. That song and Crystal Lake- Aeon needs a react. They will blow your beard off!
If you're on board with both the soft and heavy sides of Spiritbox, you might like Rolo Tomassi. Also female fronted if that makes any kind of difference.
They've gradually been adding more ethereal, shoegaze/post-rock elements to their heaviness and the last album Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It is an absolute masterpiece imo.
The first two tracks proper, Aftermath and Rituals, show the two extremes of the band and would be quite interesting to do together or back to back. They're also the two main singles from the album, so they have videos. The third was Flood Of Light which is on the long side at seven and a half minutes, but it's really compelling and synthesises the two poles of the band's sound really well.
I love these scenes where she's so pretty and singing but with these brutal low growls. That contrast is so crazy. Amazing reaction.
By the way I heard you saying in another video you like groovy stuff. So I highly recommend PLINI - Papermoon to you. I guess you will really love this one

The dark demon is cute and I agree with you completely. The contrast between the growl and the innocent visuals in the field are for sure the most unnerving part 😋

It touches on the passing of their late guitarist Tom Searle, and his battle with cancer. One of my favorite songs ever made.

Lol I grew up on Heavy Metal the Comics loved Frank Frezzeta so much he is like my hero same as Tim Burton like I love them soo much Brendon Small next. Tuomas from Nightwish I hate spelling last name it's impossible no auto-correct yet Floor no problem it wants to auto-complete all the time. For like modern creatives anyway a few other than maybe Seth McFarlin that guy is an amazing artist holy hell is he fast. Frank Frezzeta the fastest painter ever creator of Conan the character concept, Tarzan Comic he has a long list of credits, He turned down the Cubs contract because he could paint a painting in 30 mins instead of spending a whole year to make a million.
Heavy Metal Movies are Franks Frezzeta's art as well he did most of the main frames called key frames
