  • Our cover verion of the Smith's classic. It was used in John Hughes film, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Was not on any of our three albums but was released as a single in 7 and 12 inch formats.

Yes - the studio set decorators knew that so they had it written into the script that Ferris would use this for a fake cough but it wouldn't have that capacity to do so at the time. I played one two, or three years after the movie was made that cost $35,00.00 then which would be about $95,00.00 in todays money and it didn't do that either - this was a trick on people watching as it was recorded and then parts of someone coughing slowed down and other parts sped up and played back to simulate what they thought it would sound like through and actual synthesizer. And to my knowledge none of them do that to this day as there is no want, or desire for it in music! You can put a mic on a synth and run through it but that's about as close as you're going to get to an actual cough!

Don't get me wrong I'm a massive fan of The Smiths but I personally think this is an instance where the cover is better than the original.
I just like how this version sounds a little more hopeful as opposed to out right depressing if that makes sens? Oh and plus it has Kate St John!

I was promised everything by my family and friends but everyone's promises turned into nothing and I'm left all alone these days as the reality of me being wheelchair bound is too much for them to cope with 😢 please please please if you have a loved one or a best forever friend and anything like this happens to them? please please please never ever leave them or forget about them as really this is the worst thing that anyone can do to you especially when you trying to learn to deal with ptsd and flashbacks and depression of what life's trauma has inflicted on you 😢 anyway from a shadowman 👤 and from the very very bottom of my broken 💔 please please please take good care of your loved ones and your forever friends and please please please try to get what you want cos it could be the last time cos dreams fade and don't last forever?
