Looking back, I have grown upset with how poorly Hasbro handled 86 Slag's dino tail. Rather than splitting it and integrating the halves in the robot legs, they just leave it as a hanging backpack. Newage and other 3rd parties have clearly done this well. Hell, Hasbro themselves have done it before and even did it with Grimlock so why they couldn't replicate it is beyond me. Takara should learn from this if they ever get around to making a Masterpiece Slag.
If Newage and Magic Square's figures were CHUG scale I'd never buy another Hasbro figure again. This is almost perfect (if they have a G1 toy colors version, that one will be perfect). Also thank you for using his real name in the video title, I fail to see why we should suffer because the UK has stupid slang.
NGL I kind of like the idea that his name is a vulgar word in both actual English and in terms of the weird metal pun swears that cybertronians use. He's an abrasive, nasty and overall unpleasant guy, it fits that his name is considered rude
Looks good, but feels like a long way for a shortcut aha. Just feels like a lot of unnecessary steps and pieces, Swoop and Grimlock thrived on their elegancy and Sludge is just well handled. I don't know if I'm into this as much. Will probably still get it to complete the team though!
@TheTruthHz Why would I pay $150-400 for Magic Square Soundwave if he's barely 4 inches tall when I could pay $80 for Robot Paradise KO that's much larger. Legends scale is fun but they look and feel like toys, MP look like statues and feel premium.
@@MrOmgchimps I guess you've not had any NA figures in hand then? Especially these dinobots. they're simply beautiful and exquisitely well painted. I don't rate MS, the plastics are horrible in my experience. As for buying KO's, you're just ushering in the end of manufacturers like FT.
@@ennioriteo584 trust me, I know the pain. I'm slowly shifting mine. I'm enjoying being able to display so many figures in a more compact space, plus they're just more fun to fiddle with due to their simpler transformations. Anyway, enjoy your collection.
This for more of a premium look and better enjoyability. magic square for a more accurate, sleek, and slender design made for posing. newage has better articulation in dino mode though
So sad so many chests need to be fake to make it work. On the other hand, I like it. The figure's significantly huge, great engineering, and the chest doesn't look like a dino jaw compared to itself as a robot jaw
