Do you change the DPI to 300 when you download from Kittle?
As long as the pixels are the correct size for your item, the dpi doesn’t have to change.
@@hannahebeling so 4500 x 5400 for T-Shirt. Then the 72 DPI is okay? I set it to 300 but I didn’t know if I needed to
Good stuff! Thanks! I'm surprised the low dpi isn't an issue. Normally 72 DPI is recommended for displays and higher resolution for prints, But maybe the pixel count makes up for that?
Yes! You're totally right. The pixel count is what matters for this type of printing.

Thanks Hannah - amazing tips as always. I'm going to try this approach on mugs on Etsy, but am nervous using mock-ups which aren't from the POD provider. Do you have any thoughts on this subject please?
Just make sure that they look very similar if you use others and you provide all the size info in the description too!
Hi Hannah, don't you think using pre-made templates is not risky? Imagine choosing a popular niche like most do and using pre-made templates - if 100 people like the template, there will be 100 identical t-shirts. I've seen UA-camrs take fishing themes, for example, and isn't there a risk of flooding the market with the same designs and running into problems offering the same t-shirts? I'm new to Etsy and want to get things straight, thanks for the video!

I think that’s a great way to start! If the pro works for you, no need to upgrade until the extra features are needed!

How do we get approval to use a trademarked item. I used VW bus in a design and it was removed by Etsy because the 3d view of a old VW bus is trademarked
As a POD seller, we have to be careful to never sell trademarked items! VW would fall under this category.
How would we know if a VW bus is trademarked? Do we have to check all the designs offered in Canva and Kittl before using them? 😂usually only check words or phrases but not pictures of things like a VW bus.. 😮

Your DPI need to be at least 300.
A lot of people have confusion around dpi. As long as you are using the suggested pixels for your design, your image dpi won’t impact it.
