- Can You Daily Drive a Jaguar F Type R?
Let's talk today about why you should consider driving your Jaguar F Type everyday, or maybe you have a Porsche, Ferrari, Camaro or Mustang. Does not matter, but Life's Too Short To Drive Boring Cars so let's get out there and drive.
Be sure to SUBSCRIBE if you agree that this is all about living the dream.
If you don't drive your car regularly you WILL BREAK IT HERE'S WHY.
1. The internals of the engine like the bearings, cylinder liners etc will rust
if they don't have oil flowing around them.
2. No car manufacturers have ever tested a cars ability to sit and do nothing, unless testing the electronic battery drain.
3. If you don't drive your car, then you have just purchased an expensive statue!
4. When you drive it to work it is always something to look forward to instead of dreading the drive you can now look forward to it😂
Wow, totally awesome comment, I agree, that might be a video idea.
Got my 2016 R Coupe AWD now for 4 years and drive every day. Even in Wintertime on 20 inch wheels in snow and ice.
And it works even than perfectly in the mountains of Germany!
Thats why it has, ceramic coating, heated seats, steering wheel, seats, mirrors, front and back windows.
It makes so much fun to drive on unlimited german Autobahn with 600 hp+.
Yolo!
Very nice! what type of tires are you using cause I suspect the P zeros don’t have any grip.

I drive my F-Type almost every day. The alternative is to drive my wife’s Camry, which feels like driving a sofa by comparison. I stay off the freeway and primary roads as much as possible. Why? Because, I’ve got 2,000 miles of country roads with good pavement and sweeping turns within 100 miles of my house. By British “B” road standards, these are more like “A minus“ roads. Perfect for this car.
I wish we had great back roads but I am jealous. you are right, that’s the best way to enjoy these wonderful cars
I’m looking to get one by the end of the year . Quick question, is anything over 40k miles too high on these ?
Many Thanks, cars are built to be driven & enjoyed!!
We are all passing through, let's be kind to each other & chill.
As Dr Wayne Dyer once said, one day we will all be a memory to some people let's try & be a good one!! Peace From London. 🙏🙏🙏
for sure we. see to all get along and enjoy every day to it’s fullest
Not to mention: "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle"
Mark, I hope you get to read this, your post spoke to me. Your point about getting in your car and driving it hit a nerve. Earlier today, I sold my MKIV Turbo Supra 6-Spd after 25 wonderful years, and 150,000 miles, simply because I couldn't enjoy driving it any more. Sniff. With parts so expensive, and no-shops left with capacity, it was simply no fun any more. I found your post because my mates reckoned that the F-Type R would be a good replacement, I intend to buy one. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for that! The MKIV is a wonderful car too and I havre a great story of one of these as a younger guy, but generally speaking, the F Type is about as good as cars get in the today.
I don't drive my FT-R everyday, but I really get a kick of the novelty (and beauty) when I do drive it. It is always the prettiest car in the parking lot, and on the road - and yes even when it's sharing space with a 458 Ferrari ! I think these cars get better with age (softer). I took mine out this weekend for a longish drive within the suburbs and it was great. I find crawling in traffic at 30km/hr frustrating and sort of feels like bringing an RPG to a knife fight.
Its nice to have that occasional driver and the 458 isn amazing car too. Love those things.
Had mine for three years and I still cant help myself.
They are amazing cars. What colour?
@@markholubetz Its a very rare V8 R Convertible RWD in Italian Racing Red, absolutely love it Mark.
I DD my F-Type. It is a modern car that is amazing to hear, hold, steer, push, and look at. Oh, it's nice too.
You are right, they are absolutely amazing to drive and hard not to. Cheers.
This man has a great attitude
thank you very much
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!!! Totally love your honesty, Mark.
Thank you very much Wayne.
Mark I can appreciate that fact you have this car. You and I have some similar makes...especially in German brands. I am looking at this model...my worry here in the Midwest is that there aren’t many available 2nd hand and this will cause me to look nation wide which has its own challenges. Good on you, great timeline for me!
I appreciate that! These. are are awesome and worth the search I would just say find out a good shop that can support maintenance and repairs. Have an awesome day.
Damn big brother, u a real one for sure.
Real talk we only love once so why not enjoy that beast every single day.
If i had one the only thing that would stop me from doin that is the gas kkkkk because gas is really expensive in my country lol
Hugs from Cabo Verde Mark 🇨🇻 ✌🏾
And a huge thanks to you and yours. Thanks for reaching out. You are right, we need to enjoy life to its fullest as we only have 1 so lets make it count.
I had the f type. I had it for 6 months I put 13k miles on it, I daily drove it and then some. As you can see 13k miles in 6 months. Sounded fantastic. I totaled it, I wouldn’t buy another Jag. BMW service is absolutely terrible. My RCF is boosted. Super reliable. I like that it’s very comfortable and become a beast when I want. Great daily car, and can completely change in an instant. Plus super reliable. Has never had anything but oil changes and brakes are extremely reasonable compared to the jag or the bmw. It never had an issue. Can’t say the same for the jag or the bmw.
that’s my is interesting it a Lexus is a good dependable machine for sure.
Mark Holubetz the excellent customer service, extremely reasonably priced service, (my brakes cost the same price as my Honda accord) and the reliability of the Lexus has made me a big fan of Lexus. I have my RCF boosted and ECU completely flashed and updated. (Lexus is extremely difficult to work Around, the car learns and tries to fix the ECU) but man this car is reliable. I beat on this car and it just runs like the day I bought. Even with no warranty and so many modifications. It starts everyday. Runs smooth and has not had 1 issue. I have gone through so many sets of tires though. LOL.
Your absolutely right. Enjoy it. Great videos. Regards from UK
Thanks for watching! Have a great one and thanks for reaching out. Cheers
I used to drive my F-Type to work every day up until this past March. Since then I’ve only had to fill it up once.
I hear ya. unfortunately the world has changed a lot this year.
Thanks for the video Mark
Always lots of good info amd common sense.
You bet and thanks a lot for watching
Cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed. I get that some cars are collectibles and should be preserved, but I don't really understand the people who buy a nice car and then just keep it parked in their garage all the time
Well said!
Lmao Jesus just took the wheel when u casually took both hands off 🤣
Very nice
My wife daily drives an 2018 AMG GT C roadster. She enjoys the experience every time.
Those are really great cars. Might as well enjoy. cheers.
If I had one, absolutely.
Definitely an amazing car that I just like to drive every day
Getting stuck in traffic is one of the best bits about having a F-Type...& sometimes more so when my gf isn't there! 😜
I have a XF 3.0 V6 as my other "practical" car but I still do ~15k miles (pre Covid) in my F-Type. Jags really don't like being left undriven - battery/central locking/door locks/electrics/limp mode issues - I'd argue driving it every day is the best way to maximise reliability.
You are absolutely right and parking a car for the long term is never that great so using them is the best way to keep them running well. Even if its a bit of a garage queen, its still good to get it out at least once a week.
Thanks Mark! The reason why we're here is to be happy. So drive that Jag like you stoled it! It is your vehicle, right? 🤔
You bet Bill. We are here for a good time not a long time. Lets enjoy it. Cheers
Watching this because my best friend is thinking about either buying a F type, Maserati GT or keeping his Ford RS.
Edit: F Type V8
Great cars
Hi , there is guys like skotty kilmer who makes you hate every things but toyotas and hondas ! And there is you ! i have a E36 325i with almost 180k km and i use it only when i m not working like in vacation and weekend but after seeing your video Sir ! I’ll drive it like there is no tomorrow .
What a boring car and ugly is toyota
Exactly and thanks for sharing. Guys as you mentioned are delusional and life really is too short to restrain yourself. have an awesome day.
Garage Queen for mine
How often do you get to drive it?
@@markholubetz usually Sat or Sun - not in rain though
Thanks Mark 😁
Welcome! Cheers.
Beautiful car
thanks a lot. They are pretty cool.
You need a convertible. Even with the cloth top up it's too quiet.
I just hit the old dynamic mode button and roll the windows down and it’s all a thing of beauty.
@@markholubetz
Yeah, I do the same when the soft top is up, but windows down is not the same. I generally don't like driving in a top down convertible, but this car is the exception.
Mine is a daily driver!
Cheers
Hi Mark.
2013-2014 Audi S6 or 2012-2014 Mercedes E550. Looking to buy used with around 80-100km...which is more reliable and cheaper on maintenance? I'm not looking to buy a warranty
for me I would go E550 all day
@@markholubetz and 2014 Audi S4 3.0T vs 2012-2014 E550, which is more reliable?
V6 yes. V8 no
They are all so fun so it’s hard not to want to drive it every chance I get, lol
👍
Thanks Kevin, Have you decided on another toy?
@@markholubetz
I've been leaning towards another exotic. A gated Gallardo or maybe a 458, or Huracan. Just not sure I can stomach writing a check for the Huracan or 458 lol
why dont u buy a camera stabilizer, I got sea sick :)
All good now
is yours RWD or AWD?
Mine is the AWD so it’s pretty good as a daily
Can u tell me its mileage?
It has about 55,000 kms
Just got mine 3 days ago....you only live once
Absolutely true and lets live our best life. What color did you get?
@@markholubetz grey metallic
@@sstrey174 Do you regret it? I'm about to get one.
@@bayefoil940 no way. My warranty just ended so time for the tune pulley and cats
