- Born on June 16, 1942, in Bessemer Alabama, Edward Willis Levert’s family moved to Canton Ohio at age 6. From a young age, he had to learn to handle challenges the hard way. To begin with, his elder brother had sickle cell anaemia and one half of his body was paralyzed. But to him that was not an excuse to just lazy around. He never missed to go to work even a single day, not even through the snowy season. A young Eddie, turn the pity he had on his brother into motivation. And that’s how he slowly changed his perception about life.

I was about Levert's age ( I'm 80) when I first started seeing them. He was the sexiest man in the world to me! Me and my girls used to say ' I just wanna be the microphone'! LOL...Now I have nothing but deepest respect for how he's handled his tragedies and still performs and remains strong. That's not a tragic end! That's God's Grace! Praying for you, Eddie...Still love you...

I had the honor to to sing Happy Birthday to Mr Eddie on his IG live on his birthday a couple yrs back! Love this family and their gifts they shared with us for my whole life!

Eddie is Alive
He's ill, but still alive and not a 'tragic end '!? He's survived more than a lot of tragedies... that's God's Grace on him! Many wouldn't have made it. One of my son's passed a year and a half ago!? I'm able to bear it now, but I still miss him and am grateful to God for allowing me the privilege to have been his Mother and for talking me through the grief!
He had 2 sons that passed within 2 years of each other. That means he was just getting accustomed to usual life again when the other passed!?
I wonder if he sued that prison. That was super cruel and callous!? I didn't sue the Nursing Home that killed my son, only because I'm grateful to God for ending his suffering and I know he's happy in Paradise with Jesus! I was traumatized and being scammed after he passed, so I didn't have time to hate them anymore...Hate is not of God!😊 'Vengeance is Mine' saith the Lord... 'I will repay'!
