Potholer54 is singlehandedly the guy who helped me accept climate science. Up until around the point that I started watching his climate science videos, climate science was the one science that I rejected. He helped me realise that my rejection of that one science effectively made me a conspiracy theorist.

I met Aaron when he was 15. I came to check on him again 20 years ago. I'll bet if I stood in front of this man he would not know who I am. His brain is literally evolving into a human being and it's very hard to keep track of people you meet in this world when you're becoming a human being

Gervais hav have said it elsewhere, but he did say that if you humans started again, only science would come back the same, in a segment of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. (It's on UA-cam.)
My conjecture about one reason Brits are often cast as the villains is that, apart from sounding upper-class/posh, (moderate) Received Pronunciation also seems intelligent. Fighting and beating an intelligent bad guy is much better than beating an idiot.
Potholer 54 is one of the big players in my deconversion. It's not that he had a lot of arguments against religion as a whole, but his fun way of exposing creationist charlatans was a great way for me to learn real science while also hearing great rebuffs of creationist thinking.
I also like his idea of presenting a solution to aproblem and asking for for feedback on that solution. I do that at work all the time. I run into a problem, I devise several solutions, then bring them to my boss so that he can give the yay, the nay, or his own idea.
I went to London, I don't get the appeal. None of the famous landmarks were even there.
In the end I got back in the car and continued on to Toronto.
