Sir, may I ask. I've got an IC753 from my father in law who passed away 15 years ago where in the radio was also in storage for the same number of years. It was working fine back then but now, it just turns ON but with no display and can't hear anything except for a weak hiss on FM. I really want to have it working again. Do you think having it recapped fix it? Also, the memory battery is possibly flat, could that also affect why there is no display? The back light works though.
