    Kasia, this is some great information. Watched many Capture One Pro 20 tutorials, yours are some of the best. I had no idea that the Skin Tone tool had so much dynamic range. Thank you.

    Very informative video showing a lot of useful tools in C1 but may I suggest you work on the pacing of the video…definitely could make this a 20minute video and attract more eyeballs

    What a fantastic video, I watched it last night now I'm going to stop/ start it with my own edits. You made some quite mundane images really pop, and I've got quite a few mundane images that I could use this on! Excellent channel, so glad you're doing this.

    This is one of the best tutorials that fully explains what the C1 manual clearly states about the Skin Tone tool. Most people have no idea what they're talking about that try to explain its use. The only thing I had a question about was how you're using the Adobe color wheel to plan your target color scheme. I saw your other video on this but when I go on the site, all my settings get reset when I switch schemes.

    Hi Kasia, I have 2 questions. I will post individually. White Balance for this image in particular but really for any image. Can you comment on it? Maybe a future tutorial about choosing white balance? It is something that frustrates me quite a bit especially on images like this foggy bridge. Thank you

    • @KasiaZmokla
      @KasiaZmokla  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Daren, to help you get a grip on the WB concept - it really depends on your image and its purpose. If you are working on let's say a product image, than the closest representation of the colors would be your higher priority and you would be working on COLOR CORRECTION.
      But if you are processing a personal project - than everything depends on your creative idea, and in this case you would be working on COLOR GRADING (instead of CORRECTION).
      Please check out the following videos that I have already recorded on the subject:
      1. PHOTO EDITING BASICS: How to get the WHITE BALANCE RIGHT in Capture One
      ua-cam.com/video/BzCWkwR7eMY/v-deo.html
      2. Difference Between Color Grading vs Color Correction
      ua-cam.com/video/Xs4mwjRRZOg/v-deo.html
      Hope that helps! :)

    I understand you can save colour adjustments as either a style or as an ICC profile. When would you use the ICC option?

    • @KasiaZmokla
      @KasiaZmokla  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Nick, yes you save color adjustments as an ICC profile. This would work best with images taken with similar lighting conditions, those that will benefit from similar treatment. So far I stick to styles in my workflow, haven't experimented with ICC profiles that much. I tried applying ICC profiles from different cameras (in the Base Characteristics tool) to check how they will affect my images, but the changes were almost invisible.

    That’s exactly what I've been looking for! Allmost every time I started edit a photo from 0. BTW: i never touched skin tone tool, because i thought it was for a skin :)
    In that case i never got this nice looking complimentary look. i just reduced the saturation for colors that didn’t suit me and not trying to change the hue.
    Thanks for this information, very helpfull!

    Why shoot at F11 and 1/15s and ISO 1100(!!!!!!!)...? You could've shot at f2.8 and be fine on 35mm.
