Best moment for me being an Australian is when Tunisia scored against France which meant Australia had to win against Denmark then like 2 minutes later Matthew Leckie scored for Australia to put us back into the knockout stages.
Agreed mate. Had the two games side by side and could tell early on France weren’t interested. Was gutted when Tunisia scored but the scenes when Leckie put us ahead straight after were unforgettable

Confidence of Ounahi was unreal. So ready to take people on and play, evasive and good with his feet. Could easily see him becoming the star player at say a West Ham or other upper mid level PL team, and bagging a huge move in a couple years to a top team.

Lionel scaloni doesn't get enough credit.. He outplayed Louie van Gaal and Didier deschamps in big games.. He changed the team according to the games. His tactics of 532 against Netherlands, 433 against coratia and starting Di Maria in finals were tough of class and master strokes

agreed. Bellingham is good but his positioning and passing is not that impressive. Enzo Fernandez, Tchouameni, Gavi, Musiala, Vinicius jr etc had all bigger impact in my opinion

This is what I’ve always said. Remember Ronaldo had world class players all around (bruno, leao, bernardo silva, ruben dias, joao cancelo) and led them to nothing. Messi has never had a national team that talented but also balanced. Also remember when they faced the “best” midfield at the world cup ? Aka Croatia, and completely DOMINATED them… Messi had Macallister, Enzo, and De Paul looking world class against Modric, Kovacic, and Brozovic… but it’s all done now. The GOAT won everything.

This is the most sensible I've seen Rory in my life.
Best player has always been a popularity contest, just like balon dor. Modric should be up there. Griezmann should get it (right now as it stands) but, we know how much they want to give it to Messi (like his last one that he was embarrassed to accept because he was nowhere near the best player at the tournament). If he turns up in the final and Argentina win, then Messi would be deserving. But I think they will give it to him no matter what.
