Andy you are a socal legend. Myself growing up into socal you were the first person I saw doing this stuff out here. I hope to get to your skill so I can be out there one day. Thanks for everything.
I've seen people ski down the WNW face from the very top of telegraph peak. Was watching this epic feat from thunder mountain with everyone yelping and wooting as the skier progressed down. Did you consider this line also?
I haven't skied that in a while. It doesn't seem to set up as often as it used to. But I did make a video the last time I skied it -- search my channel for "Telegraph" and you'll find it :)
@@AndyLewicky Found it! That is a great video! The person I saw skiing was down the ridge facing more to the west. Reference your marked up dots in the beginning of your video, the right-ward facing slope in the sun.
@@voodooutt the broad face just right of Telegraph's prominent north couloir is kind of unremarkable--not sure if that's what you're talking about? But right of that is a striking west-facing gully with chutes and cliffs that go down a long way. I've dabbled in that area but the aspect and elevation tends to make it very icy and some of the lines cliff out
Looks like you took some time during the week. I’ve been steering clear of this mountain because they’ve given up enforcing any sort of rule of parking law on the weekends. But maybe a week day jaunt is in order….
What was really impressive was how far down the coverage went -- don't think I've ever seen it like that. It was really hard not to just head straight for Victorville! :)
Yeah, I saw that. Probably a hiker. Don't think anyone had skied the N face yet. There was a fairly prominent crown fracture/slide plus a lot of rockfall which probably dampened the enthusiasm level. :)

Some guys go into Baldy and never come back. Andy just ends up 3 miles farther away from his car.
That was cool back in 98 I skiid the north face of Baden Powell it was crazy I wouldnt do it now.

Thx for beta! Looks awesome!
Really neat, I have been here in October, but so pretty in snow.

Wow. That’s beautiful. Depeche Mode (Enjoy the silence) nearly doesn’t hold a candle to that. Wow!
legend!! 👌🙌
SEND it!!
With 15' of snow you are at 9000' 😁
Fantastic Andy! That open shot over Baldy… ❤
I don’t think I’ve ever seen the San Gabriel’s that deep.

Wow that's a brutal hike in the summer 🤔
Another magnificent video and I do believe I seen you walking back to your car at the Baldy parking lot around after 2pm 😁
I did walk partway up, but eventually a guy pulled over and asked if I needed a ride and I definitely wasn't going to say no :)
Andy, looks like someone was up there on foot....the tracks.

Sasquatch
