The Cocoon is a keeper - and maybe the first “non-California” piece of Rabbit gear in that it is actually warm enough to wear in the Rockies in winter. Ordinarily I don’t like hoodies without some kind of zipper ventilation to regulate temperature when the run heats up. But the loose fit in the torso does help with that. The balaclava works with thinner winter caps and hats. You can also breathe through it without getting claustrophobic! Highly recommend and hope to see similar products from Rabbit for colder climates. Thank you and happy trails and roads.
How about “winter ninja tunic” as a name for what appears to be an awesome bit of gear! On a side note, if you start robbing art museums as a side hustle, this would be perfect!🤣
Everything I have bought from Rabbit has been quality and excellent running gear...I love the tights of which I have on now....size up on the tights and maybe down on the shirts (If in-between)
Thank you for your review. I appreciate how you are objective, that your review is so nuanced (your observation on the watch-holes, for instance), and nice job with the video production!
Balaclava is the N95 of winter insulation 🤣. This seems to exemplify the attention to detail and high quality of rabbit clothing. Not that I’m biased or anything….#RADrabbit
I saw you running this morning by foster and Simmonds, you were running south but it was so cool seeing you run in person, definitely motivated me the rest of my run
This is probably best geared toward those who run consistently in extremely cold weather like @ScottyB! Places like MN or Alaska where you’d not consider it using it without a base layer.
Nice, but as a winter runner it seems more flexible to have a separate balaclava with a winter running jacket. Also, with dark winter days it might be nice to have a lighter color for visibility purposes.
@@kofuzi I'm thinking of getting.a much lighter jacket for those dark winter months. I wear a head lamp, that now includes with a rear red light, but still think it might be wise to brighten up ;-)
I love the concept but like you mentioned the face/ head parts need to be stretchy enough to be able to only wear one comfortably. I wear one from buff and it’s great in that aspect I keep it just above my chin and then over my nose on and off if needed. Issue with that is the breathing like you mentioned but also it gets soggy from your hard breathing and then cold and wet but not too bad. Personally, the minute I hear “wool” I shut down and can’t buy it, wool is way too scratchy and uncomfortable for me especially to run in, I wish it was fleece and then an outer wind resistant shell. Watch holes are a nice touch.
Seems like a great shicket (shirt/jacket) 😂. That workout sounds like a good one. I’ve done 800’s before, but I’ve never done the marathon time in minutes for the 800’s. Might have to try that
@@kofuzi thanks for answer, I appreciate it. I imagine that might take a little to get used to. I think I will try to take some videos of my runs. If I get somewhere close to what your footage looks like, I'll be super happy 😁
The watch holes are awesome IMO 😎

This reminds me of a winter version of my sun hoodie with built in mask. I use it during the summer runs.

I'm a big fan of the fleece tights

During my recent runs during sub 10 windchill days, this would have been perfect. Headed over to buy. Thanks for the review.
really versatile

weather is weird these days. I think even warm winter places are getting some very cold stretches. this could come in handy.
Love the Yasso 800, this workout was one of the keys to getting me my sub 3 goal.
Thank you Kofuzi, the jacket looks great. Well done
thanks for watching!

I really kept thinking the same thing, but then once I thought of the balaclava part as just a hood on a jacket, the piece made a lot more sense.

it seems like so much time for the 800, but it's not. it's deceptively tricky.
@@kofuzi for me that would be about 3:20 per 800, so doing that for 10 times would be tough for sure!
I have a kinda "Ninja"-Sweatshirt too and I like it a lot :)
Say, are you always holding the stick with the Camera in your Hand during your runs?
yes

Hi! What’s your usual size vs the size you’re wearing here?
