I love the way Mazzy Star as music and as music video cinematography were so ahead of their time. The music speaks so many generations ahead and it’s timeless value is so special. Just from watching this music video I saw how edits there are now just recently coming out have the same kind of cinematography almost identical as to the way that Mazzy Star produced and directed their videos. I feel like it’s just so aesthetically pleasing to the viewers eye and the the switch in between locations . The way that she sings is so beautiful. What was personally so interesting to me is that I always had this concept of the Way Mazzy Star made me feel like a warm lit room and candles and flowers and it was so funny because the opening scene of this video is just that. 🌟🕯🌠🌠
shes a female version of Jim Morrison of the Doors , I love her .... I just recently started listening to this band an Im furious that I didnt know about them 30yrs ago when they first came out ... glad I found them I would have missed out on an amazing band

I say shes like Jim because shes Soft singing like Jim does , yes he has a few songs where he bellows out , but most of what he does is soft , and Mazzy is just like that.

She is a way better singer than Jim Morrison. Also she is very sweet and he just seemed like a self absorbed creep to me. There is a kind of spacy music thing as bands, but I just can't see much of a comparison between her and him.

For most singers that is a disaster, especially singing flat. But she absolutely makes it work and notice that no one ever harmonizes with her and this would be one reason why. I love her lyrics too and we can't really know how much input she had into the music end of the songs, but I think for Mazzy Star it was more than we thought. We thought the standard thing was David composing the music and Hope composing the lyrics. But this is a gross misinterpretation. They had some kind of telepathic connection and it just worked.
Mazzy Star performed this song live occasionally at least as early as 1993 or 1994, & this studio recording may also date to the 1990s, & may have been slated to be included on the 1996 album "Among My Swan" as the song contains the lyrics line "among my swan" (puzzling line, isn't it? As in, what could it mean?). As a cat-person-Mazzy-fan, I too am pleased Mazzy Star's "totem animal," the cat, makes an appearance in the video. It looks like there are two different cats in the video. I like to think they're maybe Hope's or David's cats. David's shown petting one. ("The cats in here are overflowin' " -Hope, "Suzanne")! There are a few similarities in style between this video & the so-called "fan made video" for "In The Kingdom," & it may be another fine effort by mysterious Herman Kinski!
I find this "cat-person/dog-person" thing so lame and a very stupid and lazy way to define some person's persona. But I can't imagine Hope owning a pet that is not a cat! The whole folk imaginary behind domestic cats fits her so perfectly.

It's sad that there are only two videos on the channel and it hasn't been active in over 3 years.
