I skinned one many years ago. They have a lot of fat under the skin, but the fur is very soft.

When Olive asked if she could help you skin the muskrat and if she could keep the fur, that tells me she is going to be an AMAZING huntress. You showing your kids to respect nature and how to properly hunt, these girls will be ready for anything!
Joe you and Maggie are doing a wonderful job teaching your girls life skills. I wish my girls has an awesome dad but I do my best to ensure they are not missing out. Teaching kids how to hunt,fish, cook and respect animals is key to humanity’s survival. Problem solving helps them so much in life. Good job Olive ❤❤

I loved the precious and fun times I had with my daughter and son when they were your little one's age. I took them to parks and hiking as often as I could at the nature reserves near our home, and they came to love the Western states as much as I did through our vaations to Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, New Mexicon, Arizona, and Utah. Those trips are some of my favorites memories of the fun times I had with them when they were kids. You are a wonderful role model, sir. I love your videos. Keep up the great work you do. Later...
I wonder if you’d be able to hunt prairie dogs with a mink? Maybe you’d need a Black Footed Ferret lol.
I know a guy who did it, and he says mink are ridiculously efficient at catching prairie dogs. I don't have any towns near me, so I haven't tried.
