This “horse canyon” trail is now closed to motorcyclists due to over usage last year. It got trashed from squids and goonards spinning their tires everywhere. The MLT side looked like Chit as well. MLT isn’t tore up this year. I’m guessing because no one can access it from 88 at the HC stage spot.
That looks amazing. I just got a bike and havent gone too far from home yet. On big trails like this how do you get back to the starting point? Do they circle back around. Im afraid to go deeper because I dont know if I have to turn around and go back the same way or what.
I suggest to download OnX offroad if you don't have it. You can download maps for offline use. With this ride we made a loop out of it which is ideal in my opinion.
I didn’t record the route. But we parked at the staging across from Tragedy Springs Road and took this fire road out to the top of Thunder Mountain trail (single track) to silver lake and road up hwy 88 back to staging area. Are you plated? If not you can route back up to staging to make a loop.
That place looks amazing. I might have to join you on that one some day.
Hell yeah! It’s only an hour from Dad’s.

Great video! Do you have a gps track for this ride you’d be willing to share? I’d be happy to share with you if there is something you’d like.
