Man they literally just needed 1 more season 😭
Yeah, that’s why I hate modern TV shows. They drag out the main story for as long as people are interested and watching, but when enough people lose interest and stop watching, (because they are confused and feel much like the characters, wandering in an ever-complex maze with no real progress) then the show is cancelled and in the last episode the writers have to sum up all the narratives with lightning speed, which in the end feels cheap. They should’ve just let the show go that one last season than interrupt the flow of the narrative, depriving their masterpiece of an end it truly deserves. Losing a little money means nothing when you make something so good it transcends time. But if you leave a great work unfinished, it becomes a source of irritation rather than artistic pleasure. Westworld is not The Stanley Parable. An unending loop (though a major theme) doesn’t really suit it as an ending. People got genuinely invested in these characters, they need to see a definitive end for them. Not to be trapped in an ever-repeating nightmare forever. A hell that most of them didn’t deserve.

Wonderful, intelligent program. Shame it was taken off the air so unjustifiably. I would have loved to see Dolores remaking the world.

@@zainm5919 In fact, this series needs 1 season to explain the original world and the theme park.. at the end of season 4, it makes the audience even more confused after Dolores seems to be the first causality.

It still hurts me that there won't be season 5 however the series was great. One of my favs. Sometimes a mindfuck but still great.

As a series of a western would be combined with robots, well that's what Westworld describes and boy, will it blow your mind.
I was fascinated by the 2 seasons, the 3 a bit and the 4 too and it's a shame that they canceled it because it deserved a decent ending.
And while 3 and 4 moved away to go to town, we'll all remember it for its western theme and incredible twists, it will always be an HBO gem.
PS: And speaking of HBO gems, I also recommend that you also do Succession or Barry

@@akshaytrayner1960 yes, and with Stranger Things, the show was getting more well received, and even though some people (mostly the fanbase) think that it should’ve ended after Season 1, which I disagree with that, because Stranger Things is a show that we needed more of, and it was anything like never before

Seasons 1& 2 of Westworld are literally my favorite episodes of television ever. It's highly theoretical and intelligent, while also having high paced action, extreme levels of violence and gore, sexiness, and great narrative twists with clear set-ups and pay-offs. It also feels like the same story, a robot gains consciousness and then that robot wants revenge for everything that had been done to her and her people. Season 2 Dolores storming the Mesa is the peak of the show for me, along with Ford being a possessive evil ghost. From my understanding J Nolan, was mostly in charge these two seasons.
For seasons 3 & 4, Lisa Joy, is mostly in charge, and the changes are obvious. No more sexiness (clearly because the actresses wouldn't be comfortable with nudity any longer, but narratively super evolved super computers really shouldn't care), no more extreme violence (Maeve & Dolores having the worst climactic fist fight imaginable, no blood or guts, just god awful choreography from actresses who have obviously never been in a fight in their lives), and too many numerous logical inconsistencies to name, (like Maeve's story being clearly done, but Thandie Newton is brought back, because the show-runners just like her, and she has no real motivation, now that her daughter is safe). Clearly actors are brought back, not for narrative reasons, but personal behind the scenes reasons. It's severely disappointing, but I'm glad its over now, because they can't break my heart anymore
Not.. ...Out right Disagreeing but You (and four or three others) should really checkout Dark, Maniac, and Sense8 as well Folks.. . I'm.. ...Not Gonna Say More Intelligent.. ...but Every Bit As..
Season 4 was epic. Really enjoyed that season
To sum up this show: If you mixed elements from the books “Jurassic Park,” “Brave New World,” and “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” you’d get this show. A sci-fi dystopia that is nonsensical and maze-like and has no real apparent exit, because the show was cut prematurely. If it had a definitive ending, not a reset like The Stanley Parable, then maybe it would be worth the journey. But it doesn’t. And so it’s not. I love the show’s style, it is “full of splendor,” and these scenes prove it. But as the story currently exists, I am frustrated with it, because I know it could’ve even surpassed itself in potential if given one last opportunity.
